still no love for lafell?

His performance over the past month has been solid but everything before then screams, "Investing a lot of money in me to be a game changing WR is a risky bet." I think he will find the offers on the open market to be somewhat lackluster. A deeeep WR draft class doesn't help him either. We may get him back on a reasonable contract. If not, I'll live. Hardy is #1 priortiy.

Damn right.  If putting the franchise tag on hardy means LaFell has to go, I'll be ok with that.

Dude is almost playing as good as smith, hes only slightly less in yards. he has been clutch and has more TDs than smith. hes working his way into overtaking smith. I do think we draft a WR that can be a true #1 in the draft, but this year, its possible for him to be the #1. As odd as that is, its possible from a production standpoint. Also as for the needing  multiple 100 yard games, you guys forgot why we are winning, we are extremely balanced on offence with nice mix of run and pass, we also spread the ball and take what the deffence gives us. no one is going to have multiple 100 yard games, and the rbs wont have huge days either. if you are looking for fantasy points and stats this is not the team. We have several ways to kill or oponents and they all perform clutch when needed. who can complain.

I have been in LaFell's corner since he was drafted. I won't lie, celebrating his catches & TD's every single time. Saw the potential while at LSU. I love the way he can play the sideline, there's not many who can do that as well as he does. And I seem to remember that, quite a few times this year, there he was, 15-20 yards downfield waiting for Cam's throw all by himself ... not a DB in the wide camera shot. We all know he can block too. IMO Proehl & Smitty have both had profound impacts on him this year.

Pay him the money he deserves, lock him up for years. We've had our Colberts and Carters, enough of that crap. Many teams' offenses suffer when they start thinking a good #2 isn't important, is easy to replace. Just look at how Arizona & Fitzgerald have gone downhill after they got rid of Bouldin.

Draft a WR, yes. But see him as an understudy to Smitty. It takes a good 2 years for a rookie to get it all down.
