I agree with this comparison.

My fav Lafell play from last night was that 5 yarder he caught once Cam rolled out, and then just fell back and didn't try to do too much. Last week the same thing happened and LaFell dropped the ball because he was thinking about turning it up field instead of catching it. Same thing in Zona as well on the fourth down play. The play last night showed me he has learned from the 2 previous errors on very similar plays.

Why commit to a number two when the panthers don't have a one?

The panthers need a legit deep threat (not ginn) as Steve smith transitions to the last stage of his career.

The panthers are not in a position to commit money to lafell.

I'm sorry I like Lafell but this is an invalid comparison  Moose led the league / if not was one of the 3 receivers league wide one year in his career and was pretty damn good all the others.  I just dont  see Lafell ever making that leap.  He is a possession receiver with little upside until he proves me wrong.  He has 1  100 yard receiving game in his career.   You have #2's and #3's all over the league with multiple  100+ yard performances.

Like someone above said.  He is a valuable asset nodoubt   but I'd much prefer him to be the #3 receiver ala Proehl

Lafell is a solid Wide Receiver. Definitely worth keeping knowing how difficult it is for this franchise to find receivers. Instead of letting him go, we need to find another WR via draft or free agency that can complement Lafell. This would let him play to his style of play and him not having the pressure of being the go to guy

There's eff all out there for free agent wr's this year, yes that includes Nicks. Our best bet is through the draft. Give me Moncrief, Robinson or Ebron and I think this offense will be fine.
