Enough positive press lately and suddenly you get no mention of Rivera as being on the hot seat at any level. I'm sure not everyone agrees, but the tide has turned.

Yeah, Rivera and the team with him have turned the corner. Playoffs = new contract

I believe he has turned the corner. We were always almost there but never quite got over that hump (hence the close games we lost). I think he has learned. Being conservative gets you nowhere, sometimes you have to put the boot to the throat and go all out. I am happy what I have been seeing out of him and this team. They are playing with attitude and players are definitely buying what he is doing.

well they did give him a small mention under the gary kubiak/mike munchak section

 

 

 

Once you get to that point as a head coach — where the crowd is vociferously booing you at home in your return game from a mini-stroke because you have such a limited handle on how to deal with your quarterbacks — there's very little chance of returning. You basically need a Riverboat Ron–style makeover and resurgence to rebuild your reputation locally. "Go-for-it Gary," perhaps?
