Tom Brady and the no-huddle

The other thing that will slow down a no-huddle is crowd noise.  Hard to audible and call plays at the line when no one can hear you.

well, we can throw that one out the window....sadly.

Even a loud BOA....isn't loud.

ESPN has to be on their knees thanking the football gods for this matchup. It's the first premium one they've had all year!

Maybe it will be different this time, but we have been playing nickel a lot all season a couple of games we played more nickel than base and our front has still been able to stop the run. Star was at one point graded #1 in the NFL in run defense amongst all NFL DTs according to PFF. I am not sure if he is still there or not but he is likely still at or near the top.

Our DEs do a great job setting the edge and forcing play to the middle and Luke and Thomas are two of the best at shooting the gaps and tackling.

The Pats offense is s very versatile, but so is our defense so far. We have seen a little bit of everything.

It is going to be fun to watch. I still feel New England will move the ball between the 20s, the key will be if we can limit them to FGs instead of TDs. Also takeaways will be key as always.

We should play press man coverage and always bring an extra defender on a blitz...at least 5.

Being able to pressure with 4 and drop 7.....is key.  Being able to do that (granted now every down) is what has caused Brady (heck, most teams) problems.  Start bringing more bodies and it gives Brady more options to evade the pressure.

we are a zone team.

you don't reinvent the wheel and scrap everything that has made you good.....b/c of a team that is .500 on the road this year.

    • No one is asking him to be Tom Brady. They're just asking him to be as good if not better than Cooper Rush, Jimmy Garoppolo and Carson Wentz. We'd like Young to be better than Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield, but we're not even asking for that. No matter how you cut it he's going to be considered a bust for what was given up for him. He should be outpacing Cam Newton, Jake Delhomme and Kerry Collins game for game in their careers. He should at least be challenging the clutch level of Brady, Mahomes, Stafford, Goff, Garoppolo, Burrow, Hurts and Purdy. Remember that's based on the draft capital given up for Young, and not the extremely low bar Young has actually set for himself.
    • Even if you cherry pick Bryce post benching and ignore everything else and project it out over a full season….. there is no statistical  argument Kyler has ever been worse.   I’m no Murray fan as I agree he is more athlete than QB.   And I’m open to Bryce improving and support us continuing to develop him as this point.
    • We need LBs--build the roster from the bottom up.  On offense, we have Coker who has been huge...if you fill your weaknesse without having to use free agent $$$ or draft picks--win win.
