Ruutu's case to be heard July 30th

Recommended Posts

Source: Rotoworl per News and Observer

Tuomo Ruutu will have his salary arbitration case heard on July 30.

That is if the Hurricanes and Ruutu are unable to get a deal done before that date. The Hurricanes are trying to sign the feisty Ruutu to a longer term deal that will keep him in Carolina for at least two or three seasons. Ruutu had his best season in the NHL in 2008-09 with 26 goals and 54 points in 79 games. He also chipped in with 79 penalty minutes. If healthy, Ruutu is a nice late middle round pick in fantasy pools.
