Cherry picking is just picking a minority of stats that support your argument despite the majority of stats disputing your argument. Resorting to name calling is a sure sign of immaturity and/or ignorance. Thought I could have a reasonable debate with you. I was wrong, my bad. I'm done with this conversation.

So what stats are you referring to? Yards? TDs? Interceptions? Completion Percentage? Rushing? Nope. Wilson is much better or slightly better than Cam in every stat there is.

Since QB rating takes into account the "majority of stats", you aren't gonna be better in the "majority of stats" and worse in QB rating at the same time. But you already knew that since you didn't cite a single metric in ANY post before you ran off. Probably a good idea honestly. You've embarrassed yourself enough.

Come back when you go to the Sb.

Oh wait, come back when you have a winning season first.

6-3 Winning season, check, been to a Super Bowl, check. Didn't lose to bum ass Flacco, check. Have a mobile QB that isn't a gimmick, check.

Since this argument is so easy to disprove I'll take the 5 minutes.  Wilson has only been in the league for 1 year, so in fairness to him I'll only compare rookie years.

Cam: Passing yards - 4051, Passing TDs - 21, Ints - 17, % - 60.0, Rushing yards - 706, Rushing avg - 5.6, Rushing TDs - 14, Fumbles - 5, Fumbles lost - 2

Wilson: Passing yards - 3118, Passing TDs - 26, Ints - 10, % - 64.1, Rushing yards - 489, Rushing avg - 5.4, Rushing TDs - 5, Fumbles - 14, Fumbles lost - 8

Cam holds advantages in: passing yards (significant advantage), rushing yards (significant), rushing avg (minor), rushing TDs (significant), fumbles (significant), fumbles lost (significant)

Wilson holds advantages in: passing TDs (medium), Ints (significant), % (minor)

As I said, Cam has the majority of stats to back him up.  More was asked of Cam while Wilson was eased into the NFL with a very basic plan for him.  Hand the ball off, make the occasional throw.  I like Wilson, I think he's good.  But Cam did more with a much more complex gameplan asked of him.

And if you think QB rating is the end all be all stat for QBs, you're the one with a football learning disability.

So basically everything regarding efficiency wilson does better in. And Cam had more rushing TDs his rookie year. I'll just ignore the fact you had to cherrypick rookie seasons.

Cam's role now is the same as you describe Wilson's, just do barely enough for your surrounding cast to pick up the slack. Did that make Cam's numbers improve? Not really. Same numbers so far. Same efficiency.

Recall that the original argument was "What would Russell's numbers look like if he didn't have a defense and running game to bail him out". Well I ask you what do Cam's number's look like now that we have the best defense in the league, good special teams, and a good running game that we have always had.

His numbers would look like his rookie year.  Bigger numbers, less efficiency.  And I didn't cherry pick rookie years.  Wilson has only completed a rookie year, so it's the only one worth comparing.  I'm not saying Cam is light years ahead of Wilson, I'm just saying he's better.  If I had to start a team, I'd take Cam over Wilson.  If Cam wasn't an option, Wilson would be on the short list for my next choice.

The difference is Cam was able to produce when the defense wasn't helping him out.  Would Wilson be able to?  Not to the extent Cam was able to, in my opinion.

I hate the Roughing the Passer call — a lot. The referees are making a mockery of the rule when a pass rusher goes out of his way to avoid making contact with his helmet (all the while being held by the right tackle) and gets penalized for hitting the 5’11″ QB too high in the chest. I am 100% in favor of protecting the great passers of this league, but this call isn’t helping legitimize the rules in place.

It also completely changed the outcome of the game, and I’m never a fan of The Striped Ones defining the outcomes of games. That was a terrible sequence for the entire NFL.

The play looked worse in real time that it really was....so, I can almost give the refs a pass on missing it.

But, the blatant holding/PI call in the endzone (that happened right in front of the ref) was an atrocity.  Should have been the Niners ball first and goal on the one and they would have scored a TD.  That play changed the outcome of the game as well.

You guys are fuggin pathetic!! I've enjoyed seeing you all cry! Lol! Focus on winning tonight after riding the niners sacks the entire game so hard only to be let down! If one call is what you're gonna cry about when we awarded them 17 PTS off 3 turnovers and they still lose!?? Blame the niners offense for being so damn inept! If you get 17 PTS off turnovers and only score 3 on your own you deserve to lose! Hope the pats rip you bastards a new one! keep chasing us! 8-2! Hahahhaha
