Time it takes Brady to get his receivers the ball

You guys secondary is not great... And we can win those one on one battles EASILY. You are high if you think that Danny Amendola and Aaron Dobson cannot get open on your average at best cornerbacks. And then we have even more receiving weapons for you to deal with. You guys have to remember that as good as Luke Kuechly is Tom Brady is even greater and has been around longer and can and will outsmart that kid. He can't cover everybody.

8-0 and 7-1 are the Patriots record after the bye

Secondary play goes hand in hand with DL play....

And you ain't winning that DL battle easily. Heck, a great DL can have average guys looking like a bunch of Talibs.

You lost your last road game that followed a bye....

Not to sound over confident but I have a feeling they are going to lose this one as well.

I expect the Pats to go 4 or 5 wide to slow down the rush. While they won't give up the run, they won't beat their heads against a wall.

Brady will spread the ball around, get the DL back on their heels, then hand the ball off on delays & draws.

If the panthers can force 2-3 3 and outs, then go on sustained scoring drives, they'll be in the drivers seat. If they don't score TDs, the game will go down tho the last drive.

Here is a look at how long, on average, it takes Brady to get his receivers the ball. Make of this what you will.

Danny Amendola: 2.34 seconds

Julian Edelman: 2.07 seconds

Shane Vereen: 1.91 seconds

Josh Boyce: 2.93 seconds

James Develin: 3.56 seconds

LeGarrette Blount: 2.66 seconds

Aaron Dobson: 2.19 seconds

Brandon Bolden: 2.09 seconds

Stevan Ridley: 2.79 seconds

Matthew Mulligan: 2.94 seconds

Nate Solder: 2.22 seconds

Austin Collie: 2.32 seconds

Rob Gronkowski: 2.50 seconds

Kenbrell Thompkins: 2.35 seconds

Zach Sudfeld: 2.93 seconds

Michael Hoomanawanui: 2.66 seconds

If the Panthers pass rush is clicking, then the key to this game will be gameplanning for Edelman and (if healthy) Shane Vereen.

Gronk and Amendola may make few splash plays, but drives will be sustained by guys like Edelman and Vereen, and occassionally Thompkins and Dobson.

Edleman's touches have gone down since Gronk came back. The few opportunities he was getting will drop to zero if Vereen is back close to 100%. I don't expect him to see the ball much at all on offense, unless someone goes down.

Thomkins hasn't seen the field the past two games. Not sure if he's in BBs doghouse or what. Dobson  has taken over the #1 wr position.

Pats are saving Edleman for what he does best - punt returns.

This is, ideally, where you want Newton to be within the next few years.

A quick release trumps all the athleticism in the world. That's why the winningest QBs in the league are pocket passers.

Sometimes it's a trade off for athletic QBs. They gain the quick read and release with experience, but by that time their athleticism isn't what it once was.

If, however, you can build that quick release into Newton while he's still young enough to have his athleticism, look out.

The secondary is our weakness, and however we are still the #5 ranked pass defense.

Let me give you some advice, not just football advice but life advice. Think before you speak, if you even speak at all.

Your sauce is weak. Do not enter that sauce in the county fair, because it is weak.

Also, take a good hard look at my sig. You will be seeing those two things a lot. Pressure on your QB and Mitchell terrorizing your team in general.

That is nonsense. In a game like this, the Patriots will need Edelman to contribute as a slot reciever. Someone has to fight for the tough yards. Someone has to move the chains. That kid is a gamer. Former college quarterback turned reciever and now a return specialist... Give the man some props.

As much as I'd like to believe that a Tom Brady to Shane Vereen touchdown pass will be the decisive factor in this game, my heart tells me that this will be a grind, and in a game like that, I want a guy like Edelman on the field every play. .
