I didn't say it.....it was the fact when the Steelers played the Patriots....but after 8 games it's hard to rank a defense especially when they are playing inferior competition.....as the Panthers will see on Monday night.

You're once again referring to meaningless statistics that don't account for strength of schedule or statistics accrued in 'garbage time'. 

 

According to Football Outsiders (actual statisticians), the Steelers have the 27th ranked defense in the league, playing against the 9th easiest schedule in the league.

 

The Panthers have the first ranked defense in the league playing against the 15th easiest schedule in the NFL. New England has had an even easier road, with the 13th easiest schedule. They've also had a much tougher time handling their opponents, with an average margin of victory of only 6.6 ppg compared to the Panthers 11.0.
