The fans have always cared about the uniforms, so I don't understand what your point is. Why do you think the Panthers added black pants? For the FANS.

You have a point....But a better point: Why do the Panthers org and players care so much about fashion? I've seen a dozen or more players tweet blackout this week.

They have called Black Jersey games blackouts since as long as I remember. It was not something they contrived after those black pants came out.

I would prefer the black pants.  Don't think they would let that out ahead of time....nice surprise for the fans.  This is a special night...don't get such an important MNF game in Charlotte very often......and with the blackout theme......

Don't care at all but I do find it interesting that the Panthers are officially endorsing the fan blackout but not the uniform blackout. Could still be a surprise.

Im more interested in our December 22nd game getting flexed to 8:30 PM Sunday night. I have a baby shower I can't get out of at 5 that day. YES, a jack and jill shower. I have to go. Old teammate. I need this game to stay at 1:00 or go to 8:30 which the night game would be best case. With my luck it gets moved to a 4:00 start and I rely on DVR which is hell.

although i will say teams in the past have said that but end up surprising fans.  uga did it a few years ago... swore they had no black jerseys.... even warmed up in their regular red ones but ran out in black jerseys

They're not lying... they're trying to make it extra special and memorable. I think they are also trying to fool the players and then get them extra jazzed up when they find the black pants in their lockers. When they wore them last year vs. Denver the players didn't even know about it.

 

They're going to wear the black pants this year, that is a given. Why wouldn't they in the black out. They will be wearing them. Again, I guarantee it. You're all getting clowned by JR of all people.
