It's extremely possible, maybe even likely that we lose on Monday

Its not that youre not a fan.

But dont come on a panthers board with that kind of buzzkill. You can have your prophecies, but dont expect a good response from us. Weve won five striaght.

If there's anything a buzz-kill enjoys more than a good, healthy buzz-kill, its an "I told you so" after a good, healthy buzz-kill.

Ergo, the OP.

All or nothing there hey sport? What if we Spank the Pats just like we spank just about everybody else? Will Rivera be a better coach than billycheat? I would think so.

You would really think that?

Riveria has a 19-22 record as head coach.   .463

Belichick is 158-59 in New England.     .728

Belicheck  failed in Cleveland at 36-44, much closer to Ronnie.        .450

When you win, each game gets bigger than the last.

Three wins in a row didn't mean anything until we beat Atlanta.

Atlanta didn't mean anything until we beat San Fran.

Beating Brady won't mean anything until we beat New Orleans in NO.

We could have lost any of those games, but we didn't.

We could lose this game, but we wont..

And let's be clear, I don't follow this team to be "realistic" or "pessimistic".

I got enough crap going on in my own life to feel depressed about without making depressing "facts" and expecting to see a depressing game on MNF.

I'm a fan because I want, I need, to forget my own little issues for three hours and stand up and pull for this team to prove the naysayers and doubters wrong and put that victory in their face.

Because if those guys can suit up and do it, I can get up, put on my game face and deal with the countless idiots and morons I have to interact with each day to get my job done..

I'm not on the field, I'm a fan and I pull for my team. I always think they can win (even in 2010) each and every sunday, just like the guys that suit up to play the game.

Fug Tom Brady, fug Gronk, we are going to beat them on Monday night.

And we are going to beat the Fins six days after that..

Me too man.

I guess I'm an optimist by nature. I'm always excited for games and always have hope. Maybe when you're an optimist it feels worse right after a dissapointment, but it feels much better 90% of the time.

anyone can say its "likely" that one or the other team will lose any game that has a spread in single digits in the NFL and make a plausible argument any way they wanted.

wow.

and yet...

its not impressive.  nor is it edgy.  nor is it revolutionary.

people do things like this for no other reason than to get attention.

trolling your own fanbase is self-prescribed coping mechanism #1 for alleviating pre-game anxiety for the most warped among us.

I think this defense is going to light Tom Brady up.  New England's string of hack running backs are going to get stuffed all night.  They're group of fragile and/or rookie WR may make a few catches but will start throwing up alligator arms shortly after our secondary pops them so hard they question if they belong in the NFL.  Do not underestimate this defense, it's insanely good.  We went out to San Francisco, one the NFL's most physical teams and knocked 4 of their 22 starters out of the game.  One thing is certain in my mind, we will be the more physical team on offense and defense and it WILL affect New England's players and they're motivation to play.

On the offensive side I just don't see New England having a prayer of shutting down our running game, especially with Stewart healthy and producing on top of DWill, Tolbert and Cam.  And as the saying goes, you run to setup the pass.  Cam has had some remarkable games already and I think that trend continues on MNF.

I see New England scoring early in the game as our players settle into the game.  I could see a turnover producing a score for them and a field goal drive.  It's hard to imagine New England putting up more than 17-20 points against this defense.  I think that's a number the Panther's offense can easily reach.  I also think a defensive or ST score is due for this team which would make the offense's job even easier.

My completely irrelevant non homer prediction for this game....

Panthers 24

Patriots 17

You must be either drunk or high to post what you just did.  Can you tell me how many blitzes, great four man fronts and extreme pressure Brady has seen throughout his 13 year career, along with Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels.  An awful lot, like Peyton Manning he has seen it all, and has beaten every single blitz you can think of.  Look up his percentage against the blitz and you'll be staring at a mirror image of Aaron Rodgers and Joe Montana statistics.  You DON'T beat Brady by blitzing and it doesn't get much more plain then that.  And you guys have a great defense no doubt, but you guys also act like Brady has never beaten a great defense and with less weapons at that.  Think of the 2004 Philadelphia Eagles, 2004 Pittsburgh Steelers, 2007 Pittsburgh Steelers, 2007 Dallas Cowboys, 2006 Chicago Bears, 2005 Baltimore Ravens, and took the San Francisco 49ers down to the wire last year without Rob Gronkowski.  Tom Brady is a great and elite future Hall of Famer quarterback that you better respect, and I don't know what part of future Hall of Fame don't some of you fans understand?  He ain't Brees, and Brees ain't no freaking Tom Brady.  You guys don't see Brady three times a year like you do Brees.  Get that into your heads, Colin Kaepernick is NOT Tom Brady, I repeat Colin Kaepernick is NOT Tom Brady, let me say it again, Colin Kaepernick IS NOT Tom Brady.. jeez.  Also consider some very important factors that you may not want to forget

- Ron Rivera is not half the coach that Bill Belichick is, and doesn't have half of Bill's wisdom and knowledge

- Tom Brady's throwing hand is NO LONGER swollen

- Tom Brady's new toys have developed timing and chemistry with him

- Danny Amendola and Rob Gronkowski are now FULLY HEALTHY

- Danny Amendola and Rob Gronkowski's first time being on the field at the same time was last game for an entire game

- The rust is off of Rob Gronkowski

- Logan Mankins and the offensive line are getting healthier and coach Dante Scar will have a great plan for the front four

- Don't expect Luke Kuechly to all of a sudden grow a few inches to reach Gronk's height

- Don't expect Luke Kuechly or Thomas Davis to win in a jump ball with Gronk

- While Luke is busy occupying Gronk, the other New England weapons will be able to get single coverage

- At this point in the season, Aaron Dobson is NO LONGER a rookie and torched two veteran star defensive backs all game long.. a rare talent and an elite one in the making and on the rise and has developed that chemistry and trust with Tom

- Kenbrell Thompkins cannot be forgotten, this guy had a good game against names like Darrelle Revis, and Jabari Greer

- Good luck stopping Stevan Ridley, LeGarrette Blount, and Brandon Bolden.. that's lot of different flavors

- Oh and by the way add Shane Vereen, an dynamic passing and rushing weapon on offense

- Julian Edelman in the slot and Shane Vereen underneath are mismatches like Tony Dungy said

- Rob Ninkovich, Aqib Talib, and Alfonzo Dennard are back this game.. that's a huge difference

- Chandler Jones DE/OLB Hybrid, Michael Buchanan, Chris Jones and Joe Vellano combine for 18 sacks

- The secondary for New England is very very good and can shut down the passing game of Carolina and you say Panthers can run the ball, well don't you think Bill knows you guys are going to try to run? smh ..... lol

Wow, I'm a Pats fan and you're blowing smoke up my ass too.
