It's extremely possible, maybe even likely that we lose on Monday

imo EVERY game against is the superbowl rematch, so no time for negative or "i got that feeling" talk. Lets talk about what this will do for us assuming we win! I understand the point of the thread but its either all in or sit down! NO NE fan act like the fans here and tip toe into believing in the team. They are cocky yet I respect them because they believe they can win EVERY week. Shouldn't we???

Yea, this team has been dormant and stuck in also-ran mode for years now, but the team overall has proven to me that they are in a different state than they have been in recent years.

Guess what Pats, you guys thought this was an automatic Monday night win on your schedule this season? Well you shouldn't have unlocked the door and had your daughter picking daisies by the pond because Frankenstein's in the fuging village.

Either team can win this game.  Some things that will matter:

 

1) We need good Cam.  I'm not even sure "OK" Cam will win us this game unless Brady is way off his game and the defense is completely dominate.  We need to score points, and that means not overthrowing often.

2) In conjunction with the above, we can't be dropping wide open passes.  Steve Smith and LaFell, I'm talking to you.  We need points in this game and dropping a pass just can't happen.

3) Gronkowski.  He's the only real all-star to pass to.  We HAVE to play excellent defense against this guy or we'll get beat.   We are traditionally terrible against TEs but hopefully we have a great gameplan.  

4) Secondary has to play well.  This is a real test for them.  Expect Brady to be throwing quick passes to beat the pressure/blitz.  It wouldn't surprise me if they just abandon the run completely again us.

5) Successful running for us.  Pats D is only ranked 20th.  We need to dominate the run game to take pressure off Cam and allow him to have a "good" Cam day.

 

 

The game is entirely winnable.  I felt we had a better chance in this game than the SF game.  It's not the same NE team.  They are missing some key starters, Gronk is really the only explosive player on offense.  BUT, they have Brady, so anything is possible.   I just hope we play all 4 quarters hard and competitive.

Of course it is possible that we can lose on Monday. It's possible we can lose any time we step on the field.

 

However, you cannot convince me that it is likely we will lose. I just can't believe that.

Any questions I have about the outcome come from the other team being coached by Belichick and led by Brady. What happened in the past has no bearing on the outcome of this game. 

 

I understand your point, however there is something to be said for coaching players to improve as the season goes on.

Even when I'm worried about a game i don't sit there and say all "herrrr de Derdy herrrr I think I'm an nfl couch analyst so in my expert opinion because the wind was blowing in 2004, and it rained one time in 2008, that must mean mathematically we can't win Monday night," like stfu there's no room for that bs right now....we re in the midst of something special and any doubters need to put up or shut up I'm tired of hearing it.....I have my doubts from time to time but I keep them to myself and scream my head off for my boys NO MATTER WHAT.....and I will NEVER EVER predict them to lose....that's just not my way

Laughable how he had to throw that 2 win season in there to get his numbers to work.

 

Panthers are one of the best 2nd half of the season teams in the league.
