Those 15 make this team what it is.

Smitty and Gross will probably retire as Panthers but they are long in the tooth.  Not really core players anymore.

 

I want to see them retire but you have to look at the young ones that will make a difference.  

 

Going to be tough after the season.  I doubt we will be able to retain guys like Cole and Edwards.   

 

Honestly I hope Gettleman is looking to keep Mitchell.  His mentality IMO is exactly what this defense needed on the backside.  I am going to crack your head and worry about the fines later mentality.

Other then that, we are looking to add to this core so it's bigger. Thats really it, and in terms of the NFL you dont need a lot bigger core than this to be successful.

Depends on how many I am allowed.  If I were to pick the seven guys I would most want to hold on to they would be:

Luke, Cam, Star, CJ, Hardy, Kalil, and Short

 

After that, I would go with:

Gross, Davis, and Tolbert
