Ed Reed is Ed Reed either way. Hall of Famer, he's going to make plays when it's needed.

Yes, Ed Reed is a Hall of Famer on body of work.  So is Jerry Rice, but I wouldn't want either of them on my team right now.

Reed's old team didn't even want him back.  His old defensive coordinator did though.

ya gotta learn to look at where guys are now, not how they used to be.

Spoken like someone who uses Madden to understand football.

The Ed Reed if ild was a HOF playmaker. The Ed Reed this yearis an injured old man who had little or nothing to give. His body has broken down and his age has caught up up him...happens to everyone.

He is nothing more than a big name now...not a big producer.

This signing was somewhat of a reunion because Reed once played for Rex Ryan when Ryan served as a defensive coordinator with the Baltimore Ravens (2002-08). Ryan once call Ed Reed '"the best safety that's ever played".

Ed Reed WAS once one if the best safeties to ever play the game. Now...not so much.
