I don't know if we ever got an official statement/closure from Dameshek about the competition (it seemed like it was just swept under the rug after we won), but I randomly stumbled upon this last night in the comments section of his dumb Week 10 shame report thing that he does (I was really bored):

Even if it's true and some people went outside the box to get some extra votes, what kind of a moron creates this huge Greatest Uniform competition, hypes it up constantly on the frontpage of NFL.com, puts the voting in the hands of the fans, and doesn't even bother putting any kind of measures in place to prevent something as simple as auto-clicking or bots that anyone with 2 minutes can go online and research? Sounds like it was just extremely poor planning on his part...can't fault the fans for that one.
