Belichick says he has seen the Panthers offense already this season...

Lots of teams run some of the same base plays as others

Its a copy cat league but the players running the plays are not the same.........The key to this game is going to be the run game ,keeping the Patriots offense off the field & D-line getting pressure on the Brady.

I don't think New England has faced a dynamic Run game as ours.....we should pound them to submission by end of 4th qtr on both side of the field. :rr:

Guys, they know Cam has had a fairly poor showing the past couple of weeks. They are stacking the box and daring the QB to beat them with his arm. If good Cam shows up they will be looking for answers. Look for a couple of cheap shots on Newton as soon as they can get them in to try and rattle him and test this "even composure" thing.

They stacking the box cause they know they can't stop our run game especially with Cam ability to run. San Fran didnt even stack the box, they played 2 deep the whole game

Arrington plays the slot and he's pretty good at it but blows on the outside and with Talibs old man hips hes there more than he should be.

does arrington play outside in your base set usually then? or is he exclusively a nickelback except in case of emergencies?

steve smith will play out of the slot for much of the game and match up against arrington; how do you think he handles it? ginn is our deep threat and will line up outside for much of the game, lafell could line up just about anywhere

No he only plays outside in emergencies.

Arringtons issues are covering vertical routes so unless there are a few missed assignments from the safety he'll fare pretty well.

While the receivers will probably have issues getting open, Olsen should have a pretty big day since Spikes is slow and Hightower is stiff and can't cover although they might end up putting Talib on him in the red zone and 3rd down.

Neither the Jets nor the Bills have the running game we do.  Stewart is also a huge X-factor, and they are missing a mass of a man in Wilfork.  Offenses might be somewhat similar, but we have something that the other don't--a quality running attack that threatens on EVERY down.

I concur, mostly, we are pretty good in the running game, and can generate chunks of yards for you. I just think you were a tad harsh in your comparison. Bills when healthy run the ball well, and the Jets are good one week and suck the next.

My mantra, the Pats are a good team. We are a very good team. We win. 31-17.

Continue to do what we do and we should be ok.

talib scares me more than anyone on that defense. do the pats usually play him in man?

They like to start in man, but if you hit some splash plays, you force them to go zone. .

I think you are as close as anyone. When we run the ball well, we are dangerous. It takes the pressure off Cam. Of course it helps play-action as well. So...run it down their throat, take that pass rush out of it. Put them on their azz, and keep them there.

Let's put it this way. We now have a Big Brother Bully attitude. We will beat you up for 60 minutes. With Wolfork out, that D just lost its bite.

Ohhh Ohhh, moment. This is the type of D a guard like Chandler can shine. He is athletic and big enough, that he can get to LBs. That is huge.

Lastly, they can apply pressure, but their LB corp. is kinda small. They won't run you over, so you had better stay in from of them.

If the Pats don't want to be added to the list of "Spanked Teams" this year? They had best bring it.

That seems to be the Defense of choice right now. Limit the damage. You can't stop us, so you slow us down.

Which is kinda what you kinda want your Defense to accomplish. Make it as difficult as possible for you to drive down the field. Most teams are just not capable of doing so consistently enough to beat us. Hellz, we would have a hard time beating us.
