DRAFT SPECULATION/NEWS THREAD

I dont know what the hell is going inside Cho and MJ's fuggn stupid heads. The first time, the fuggn first time! that we need to TANK a season and it's looking like they're trying to do the exact opposite: WIN! We're a lot better than most bad teams, that we could eventually sneek in the playoffs as the no8 seed. Still we need to TANK! I dont know if that's MJ trying to do something supposed to be "spectacular" before we rebrand to the Hornets or what. But, if we do not get a top5 pick, that's the worst thing MJ will ever do to this franchise, not to mention his previous bad draft pick busts in the past. It's looking like MJ is killin the franchise year after year.

the only reason we winning is because smart teams like philly are tanking

One reason we're also winning, we've played an insanely easy schedule to this point.

A snippet from Chad Ford's latest Tank Rank, where the Bobcats are 8th...

I know the Bobcats' .500 record looks impressive, but let's put it into perspective: Only two teams, the Pacers and Pelicans, have played a weaker schedule to this point. Charlotte's opponents have a .414 winning percentage this season. Its wins have come against the Cavs (twice), Knicks, Toronto Raptors, Celtics, Nets and Bucks.

Then again, given how bad the East has looked this season, maybe that's enough to get the Bobcats a fifth or sixth seed. Michael Jordan would get what he wants in the short term. But in the long term? The Bobcats really, really need a star.

expect some crazy shi to go down at the trade deadline. People going to be making moves to get up there for the draft

If we make a move at the trade deadline, it will be for immediate improvement and not to try and tank, which only reinforces my original point that we will not get a top 5 pick. Think something like a Ben Gordon for Luol Deng trade.

At this point, hoping that we land any of the top 5 or 6 guys in the draft (Wiggins, Randle, Parker, Smart, Gordon, or Exum) is the equivalent of hoping LeBron picks Charlotte when his contract is up in Miami.

With D. Rose going down for the season, don't be suprised if the Bulls to join the tankers and put one more team ahead of us in the draft. The Bobcats getting a high lottery pick are a pipe dream and we should start locking these stupid threads where people suggest it. Under Clifford, we are now rebounding the ball and playing defense better than we ever had and in a weak Eastern Conference, that could easily land us in the playoffs.

Short but youre an idiot if you think that seeing a sample size of less than 20 games in a 82 game season has made you all knowing of whats going to happen

How do we know any of these guys will become superstars? You act like they're pre-ordained to become LeBron Lite.

I still remember people saying we should tank for Harrison Barnes, because he was gonna be a rookie All-Star.

tell me right now you wouldnt want harrison barnes over mkg

it seems some of our fans want to be another milwaukee bucks squad perennial 8th seed 1st round and out rather than get a franchise centerpiece

No one knows. And no one said these guys are Lebron lite. But from what we know so far is that they are living to the hype. If anything, these kids has a better chance of helping us turn this franchise around.

So everyone is dreaming of an 8th seed team that gets swept in the playoffs???? That's what's being built right now if the bobcats don't get into the top part of the draft.
