DRAFT SPECULATION/NEWS THREAD

Now this...  I can get on board with.  I would love it.

Huge potential and could ultimately be that explosive offensive player/outside scorer we need, and he's super-athletic and rangy on top of that.  I think this is my favorite pick if we stay at 9.

Take Hairston with the next pick and I'm fapping 'til I chafe.

I really don't think Hairston will last till 24. I'm personally hoping for KJ or Early if he's gone

At this point, I'd rather take a proven scorer that may not be as athletic. I wouldn't be opposed to PJ at 9, but Lavine just seems like a project that may or may not pan out. We haven't exactly had the best of luck with raw prospects.

I don't think he will either, but I'm 100% certain he will be a difference maker in the NBA, and likely a BIG scorer and above average defender.  He will be THE STEAL of the first round, simply because he isn't going in the lottery.

So, my hope is that we either move up a few spots from 24 after taking Lavine at 9, ORRRR, we trade back from 9 and pick up something extra in the process and still somehow net Hairston.

If we get Lavine, I'll be happy, but I'll be a LOT HAPPIER if we got Hairston.

I would love to move up into the mid teens to nab PJ. Maybe 24 and 45 to get somewhere around 16-18?

Yeah, that's my concern as well.  But, If we were somehow able to net them both, I'd be ecstatic.

PJ is the guy I want regardless of where he is taken.  So, if we took him at 9, I'm good.  I don't care who else we get.  But, some think that's too high...  My philosophy is if that is the guy for your team and he fills your needs, then you take him, regardless of where he's projected.  Hairston is exactly what we need.

That being said, if we got Lavine too, it gives us some versatility offensively with Kemba, and then add Hairston to the mix and we are a potentially super-explosive offensive team next season.

Hairston is my #1 target, so I really hope we work out someway to get him and another high-potential prospect.

I mean, I really like PJ too. If you think he's the best player, and he'll be gone by your next pick, why not take him at 9? They would take a lot of heat (locally anyway) but if he pans out it won't matter

I like that theory. I wouldn't be mad with PJ at 9. I love Dougie, but I don't think he's a perfect fit for us like PJ seems to be.
