Beason Stills Seems Miffed

Beason:  "The knee just stopped hurting"   Magic ... or placebo.  Either way he needed to get away from his comfort zone in Carolina to have any chance of returning to his pro bowl form.  He'll do better in NY and we'll do better without him.

I respect the guy but he was part of that core of players that is good at finding ways to lose (ie... DeAngelo/ Stewart late game fumbles, Smitty dropping passes)  As much as I like our vets, they have done such a good job of learning to lose that it is taking serious time and work to unlearn it.

It seems to me that the new players Gettlemen and Rivera brought in and our younger drafted players are winning games for us.  Our vets are not clutch.

Love Beason for all he did, some of the"fans" need to learn its ok to not hate everyone not on your team. Beason was a good guy on and off the field for this team and from what I seen in the video he just misses playing here, how anyone can get something negative is beyond me. If anything its a plus and the way Jerry connects with players can only be a good thing.

Also, glad DG was not the GM when T.Davis was hurt because he would not be here and we would not have one of our best players, still love what DG has done with the team and the guts it has taken to pull some of the things that he has done(like 2 DTs 1st and 2ndrnd)..

Beason will be missed, always thought he was going to be a special Panther. Bought his jersey his rookie season, looks like I need to get a new one..

I understand the move, but I would've liked to see him play Will and maybe he would be able to adjust. Maybe he wasn't worth the money in our eyes this point in his career. But either way I think we should've received more than a 7th Rounder.

IMO he's worth holding onto for a 7th Rounder and who knows, maybe he would've started to impress, like he has been in NY and resigns at WLB $$$ in the off-season.

Beason-Luke-TD is better than what we currently run with, especially if Blackburn misses some time.

Love Jon, but I wish he didn't go the Julius Peppers route. Stay classy bro. If I am not mistaken, he asked to be traded. Even if he didn't ask to be traded, Gettleman did him a favor as he let him play his natural position in NY. He was never gonna play MLB here and his play during his last few weeks here sucked. He is playing well in NY too. What is the problem? I appreciate his loyalty and feel bad that he is not part of us now that we've turned it around, but give me a break. "Marty Hurny wouldn't have traded me?". cmon man

I know you watched Beason play last year and a little this year. You are not being honest with yourself if you think that Jon could play to the level of Kuechly, Davis, or even Klein. Davis is just as athletic as ever, and both Keek and Klein are much faster and more explosive than Beason.

He's just not what he used to be, and would have been unhappy sitting on the bench here.

I agree. He lost a step after his 2 injuries. He wasn't able to run sideline-to-sideline like Keek and Klein do now...go back and look at the Buffalo game and you'll see that. Even when TD was finally healthy, it took him a full season to return to form.

It's okay to to question the trade and to like Beason still. He gave a lot for this franchise. But those same people have to understand that it would have been a waste of cap space and Beason's talent to keep him here on the bench.

Hopefully when he decides to hang it up, he and Delhomme can sign one day contracts and retire as Panthers.

I didn't really see anything all that negative about the interview.  He just seemed generally sad to me and seemed to wish there was a way to make it work here in Carolina.

I can understand him being upset, he's still human afterall and has spent most of his adult life in Charlotte.
