Winning cures all. Luck proved this week what I've said all along: he's not that great and he's on a team that allows him to win in spite of his poor play. It's easy to overlook his terrible, terrible play in some games because they pull out the come from behind win. He is a better version of The Golden Calf of Bristol. Blows the game more times than not, only to lead a good drive that results in a win. 

Mechanically, I love Luck. However, strictly looking at film and stats, he's not THAT great. Let's just be honest here.


On topic, I could give a poo what any "expert" says about our QB or our team. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE hearing the media slurp on us, simply because we don't get positive attention that often these days. Now that we're showing what we're capable of, I enjoy hearing some positive feedback. But if they all flipped on us tomorrow and start claiming we'll lose out and whatnot, I would just scoff at it like I did for the first month and a half of the season. I prefer us being the underdog anyway.

it's espn...quit taking their poo seriously. 

 

abide by these rules or stay in a constant state of frustration and pissiness.

1) don't watch/listen to/read espn. don't subscribe to their "insider" crap.

2) if you can't avoid it, then just expect them to come from a point of ignorance and bias and shrug it off

 

just accept that these guys are all tools that work with espn and  realize that their opinion means poo. it has no bearing whatsoever on what this team does and if you are worried about respect, understand that theres just some people whose respect means nothing. you want real respect? win. if some don't give it in spite of what you achieve, screw them cause their opinion doesn't matter anyway. don't waste your time dealing with ignorant, narrowminded ass hats.

 

what people say in the media doesn't matter just like what people say on message boards don't matter. it's ok if someone doesn't agreebwith you. it's ok if some people are ignorant asses. don't waste your time dealing with them. just wipe that poo off your shoe and move on.

At what point did the value of following a team shift from simply watching and enjoying games and wins to needing everyone to justify the team and player?

A lot of us do it because we know it will rile up the people who make it their business to look down upon how others feel and the kind of things others are interested in.

Yep.  Got a problem with that?  :)  JK, don't really care what's in the press or talked about.  I stopped listening a while ago.  Had nothing to do with the Panthers.  There are analysts that do a good job breaking down the game, just not those two.

Anyway, I will admit I am surprised that Cam get's no credit. But agree, who cares? I think our fans will be equally frustrated when all these media guys are kissing Cam's butt after years of no respect
