I find it ironic/telling, that guys like RG3 and Kaepernick, who are truly immature (and have shown it numerous times), are called mature. Or at least they were. Now they're just ignored in that respect when they act up. No one talks about it much, though some do.

Meanwhile, guys like Cam, were very mature, the moment they step into the league (as far as his approach to work/football, and how gracious he's been to teammates and media). Nonetheless, every little thing he does (such as his post game interviews) were unmercifully scrutinized, as if that makes him some kinda of bad person or football player. Where was the coverage of RG3 constantly pouting, threatening his coach to play him, and publicly undermining his back up QB during last years playoff run, just for starters? Where was the undending coverage, of Kaepernick's tantrums, poor play, and off the field carousing by media?

Thomas Davis, cried in the locker room, in front of reporters after a loss last year, for Christ Sake, and no one cared!!

But if it was Cammmmm??????????????????????

Get my drift?

Fwiw ESPN's newest mouth breather Mark Brunell was asked if Carolina is a "pretender or contender".

First of all he looked nervous as hell on TV and was rocking back and forth and his voice was shaky...anyways of course he said we are "pretenders".

His reasoning was absurd; had something to do with our defense struggling (lol wut).

I think the point is that the Defense is what has made the Panthers otherworldly.

Eric Kusilieus is one of the biggest Cam supporters as he was the only one on the show fighting for him as the best young QB.

Other guys had Cam as the 4th best read option QB and Eric lost his mind!

Cam is special as he made the offense relevant from the first snap 3years ago...now the defense has caught up and surpassed the offense as the identity of the team.

It was not intended to be a knock to Cam you bunch of oversensitive Huddlers.

He goes in yesterday on how cam is an emotional player and if we start loosing he will be back to looking down and giving crazy press conference interviews and incenuates cam is not a franchise quarterback worthy of a big contract by asking florio would he pay him 100 million dollars

Additions to the offense via the draft since we grabbed Newton:

Kealoha Pilares (5th)

Amini Silatolu (2nd)

Joe Adams (4th)

Edmund Kugbilla (4th - lol)

Kenjon Barner (6th)

Fumblin' Joe Adams being the highest non-OG pick. Additions via FA since we grabbed Newton:

Ted Ginn Jr.

Domenik Hixon

Travelle Wharton

Mike Tolbert

Greg Olsen

Louis Murphy

Seyi Ajirotutu

Legedu "Legatron" Naanee

Olsen, Tolbert, Ginn and Wharton are about the only notables here. Olsen is good, Ginn is a solid 2/3, Tolbert is a monster and Wharton is solid.

Anyways, compare this with the resources we've thrown at the D. Then factor in that the D has kept it's coordinator and our HC is a defensive mind and they damn well better be pulling us through games when the offense sputters. The minute we give the offense half of the resources and attention we've given the defense (and no, putting everything on Newton's back doesn't count), I'll start judging the QB. Until then, if we score more than 14 points on O, I'm fuging thrilled.

Since Cam had the infamous "Something's gotta change/Suggestion box" presser, the Panthers have gone 12-7. Before that the teams went 7-15.

Sure looks like no one responded to that immature fake leader/crybaby.

Good points.

Nonetheless, I find these 'relying on the defense comments' by some reactionary media as humorous.

Have we ever heard any one, once mention this about Russell Wilson? He was the epitome of a a "Game Manager", relying on his defense and run game from the day he arrived in the NFL. You could say the same about Kaep and RG3 last year, where all three were in the bottom three of pass vs run % in the league last year. Kaep's much worse this year in yardage and percentage. They don't trust him at all throwing the ball.

As far as the offense: I'm sure before the year is over, Cam and the offense will have some big games. As good as the defense is; They will need the offense to beat teams like New England and New Orleans, as the San Francisco offense and Kaepernick is just not that good right now (making the Panther defensive performance better than it really was).

Plus, the Panther receivers can't be dropping passes into next week/forever (Lol), while the Panthers won't likely face such a tough defense as the 49ers again, especially on the road.
