Bad Football

I'm not completely sold on the Chiefs or the Pats yet.

Honestly, I have my questions about the Miners.

I will let you know about midnight this upcoming Monday about the Pats.

As for the Chiefs. I think they can be good, but with the D playing well, Andy is keeping a lid on the O.

When they line up against the Charger and Broncos, you will get your answer.

Their next 3 weeks go Denver, San Diego, Denver, you will know after that.

The Niners confuse me, I can't figure them out yet.

I think we are finally coming to a point where having a qb and wr that both have 10 million dollar cap hit a year are starting to hurt teams.  No one has any depth.   A couple of key injuries and anybodys chances of being a good team are gone.

With that said here is my list:

Carolina

Seatle

Denver

Detroit

Saints

Really that is all I can see right now.  Everyone else just has too many holes to call them good.  OK maybe New England and the Chiefs, but I can't call either of them really good because they have to many holes and they are getting by on exploiting the weekness of bad teams. Maybe the Colts to but line is such crap and they can't run the ball.  When they play outside of the dome I don't think they can win. When they face good teams that don't have thoes kind of weeknesses they are going to have lots of problems.

I'm not sold on kc being in tier 1, they haven't beaten any on the teams in tier 1 or tier 2 yet and that's a big unknown. Their first real test of the season will be next week against the broncos.

I wouldn't say i'm "sold" on anyone except maybe Denver. But as far as KC you have to give them credit.. they may not have played anyone but they haven't lost to anyone either.

aren't the dolphins the only team carolina has never beaten in the regular season?

Yep. We've never beaten the Dolphins in the regular season. We are 0-4 against them bastards.

I was also about to say the Cowboys but that would have been wrong. We beat them during the regular season in 97, so it just feels like forever. Hell even our playoff win in 03 against them feels like forever ago. I guess it kind of is. I'm getting old.

An honest list would go as this:

DEN

KC

SEA

CAR

NO

NE

SF

CIN

No one else has earned a spot on the list. This would probably be my power ranking, as well.

edit: If this was college football, we'd be talking about strength of schedule, quality wins, ext. If that'd be the case, we would certainly need to include the Colts. This team is knocked to the core with injuries at key positions. Has their strength been on Andrew Luck's shoulders this entire time? We're about to find the fug out.

I'm trying to remember the last time I saw this much of it.

There are thirty-two teams in the League, and I'm honestly not sure I could name ten that are playing truly good football right now.

So two questions:

If I asked you to name ten good football teams right now, who would you say?

And are the Panthers one of them?

It's just a parity league man. Of course we are one of them. Every team is going to have lackluster weeks. Its a matter of minimizing it.

Ten good teams:

Seahawks, Panthers, 49ers, Broncos, Chiefs, Colts, Bengals, Patriots, Lions, and unfortunately the damn Saints. Those teams are the top 10 in the league, change the order however you would like. On any given week any of those teams could beat the other.
