Let the national hype begin...

6. Carolina Panthers, 6-3 (LW: 11)

It's official. Carolina is a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

The Panthers showed that they're capable of victory even when their explosive offense has an off-day, shutting down the 49ers in a 10-9 slugfest. It will ride a five-game winning streak into a home showdown against the Patriots. If Carolina defend its turf, it will put itself in position to battle for a first-round bye—all that after starting 1-3.

I'm not sure if I even want a bye week in the playoffs anymore.  When's the last time a team won the SB that had a bye week in the first round? Plus when is the last time we've won after a bye week?

Me either. I still remember 2008, and it seems like we come out flat after the bye on a fairly consistent basis.

    • I agree with you he is clear cut #1 CB and it isn’t particularly close. And I really like Johnson as well. WR I don’t think he is the best right now but most likely has the highest ceiling. His body control and athleticism is generationally elite. He cannot run routes tho lol he’s out there playing backyard. That can be taught, but I think he ends up a full time CB in the NFL
    • He is overwhelmingly the best prospect in this draft. There is zero question at all about this.  To suggest otherwise is being purposely ignorant.
    • If we had reporters covering this team who were worth their weight in salt, we'd know.  This is an lingering injury from 2021 that he re-aggravated week 9--He claimed to need surgery on December 12.  David Newton and Joe Person should be all over this until they have a response--which should take one phone call
