But this was the 49ers defense and not the Jaguars.  We simply were not going to open up a can of whoop on them on the road.  This game was never going to be anything but a low scoring defensive battle.  The last 4 weeks or so before we scored MORE than enough to win.

 

Oh yea I forgot Shula can only call good games against crap defenses....that is what you are saying isn't it?

 

Seattle and Indy beat down the 9ers defense....but we can't?

 

 

Shula is not as bad as I thought he would be but he isn't exactly the man either.....21st(15th in PPG) rank offense....yea...Chud never did that good here with Cam.

Does it never occur to anyone that each game is different? The 49ers defense didn't show up against the Colts and they suck ass in Seattle in the Russell Wilson era. The 49ers defense showed up yesterday, and our offense did what it had to do.

Haha is this supposed to validate you? These are wildly popular all over the net. A quick trip to any other team's forum would show a handful of people who have divvied up their own and proclaim it as "the one true accurate measure."You're no different than Bleacher Report contributors passing yourselves off as "journalists."

 

 

Not to mention how this has nothing to do with play calling and offensive game management and comes across as nothing but a feeble attempt to say "See! Look! I am smarts!!"

I think what Shula has done is get better at misdirection. There were so many plays where I looked and saw say Hixon as the lone wideout standing lazily and everyone in 15 counties knew we were running the ball. In the last few games there is much more trickery

We could have easily scored more than the 49ers give up on average if our receivers hadn't dropped so many passes. They were regularly open and in position to make plays.

Olsen was blocking most of the game. Their D is nasty and our O line needed all the help it could get.

Probably my only real complaint was the wildcat call.  Overall, I liked Shula's plan against them.
