This kid stepped up today. A third string DT to starting guard against that defense? Sheesh...

 

I only saw him blatantly whiff on a defender once that led to a sack, but all things considered, I was quite impressed with his play along with the rest of the line.

I couldn't describe our o line play as "impressive" in any way.

 

But, they didn't lose us the game... so... Kudos to them...

Chandler missed bad on that one sack towards the end of the game, but for a guy who had to ask Kalil what his assignments were last week, he made pretty big steps, would be nice if he could fill that spot on the regular.

From what I've seen, he can definitely block, and block well.  I don't doubt that. 

 

You've also got to be able to know the assignments, and today he seemed to handle them all right.

 

On the scoring play for Williams, he pulled and threw a great kick out block.  Kudos for that.

 

Yes, he whiffed on one today too, and one of the best centers in the game botched a snap.  It happens.

 

Overall, I'm pretty happy with him.  Don't know that I'd buy him as a long-term starter, but as a capable backup?  Yes.

He's an athletic monster compared to other O-linemen his size. If he learns his assignments better he could be a viable long term solution.

He certainly seems to have the physical skill set. Mentally just needs to learn the game.

I thought he was one of the more bright spots today. For a hodge-podge offensive line, he seemed more than capable.
