Em I think it's time you just admit you're a diehard Panthers fan.  I don't think you've ever picked us to lose lol.

Can't really fault you though, the wins have just started to come along but before we were winning advanced metrics always graded us out as one of the best teams in the league.  It's amazing how a few tweaked coaching philosophies and a little luck can put a good team over the top.

Thanks Gang! I was one of the biggest critics of the receiving corps (I still think another top flight WR should be added in the draft) but throughout the course of the season I've been blown away at how consistent they've become..especially with both Lafell & Ginn (was an inconsistent receiver in both MIA & SF)

The way he broke down that Niners play against "cloud coverage" makes it pretty clear that it will take strong individual efforts from Keek and TD to contain this SF offense.  They are going to have to be spot on with the way they flow to pass coverage and still be there is run support and to spy Colin K. Even though the play he suggested was a pass play (not SF strength), you can see how it would beat us.  They could beat us all day on plays like that because Kap can run if the play breaks down and still pick up 7-10 yards. If we are able to take away their effectiveness on the ground somewhat, a play like this could still work.  If we let them play in under our zone (which is what Matt Ryan did with Gonzalez) they can eat up chunks of yardage through the air.  We took care of that in the second half vs ATL, but the difference is Vernon Davis who is maybe the best TE in the game at getting upfield and open on those vertical routes.  Can our safeties cover him?  I doubt it.  What if they get him out on a cornerback?  Mismatch all day.

Gore is a beast.  Colin K is a wildcard (could have a bad day and still make a play to hurt us).  This is a great test for this defense.

Defensive struggle?  Shootout?  Blowout?  This game is wildly unpredictable.  The Czar picked us, but I don't get the sense from his breakdown that he favors us by much.  He essentially thinks that Cam is better that Kap and that will be the difference.  I hope he is right.
