Darren Woodson picks...Cam?

I think there has been more articles about Cam, Ron, the defense, the team and Sir Purr this past week than there has been the past 3 years.

Everyone loves winners. Hopefully come Monday morning we will have another 1000 articles how Cam is superior and a legitimate MVP candidate

Hellz, when we beat the 9ers, they have all week, and all day Mon. to hype up the MNF game. Back to back big games in prime slots. We sweep the next two weeks, and we propel ourselves into the National Spotlight.

If it doesn't happen this time, there will be another next time in our future.

This Panther team has been playing this same type game for a year now. After Cam witnessed Peyton cut us up like a surgeon, he went on a tear, and we finished 5-3. (Counting the 1st game, where we played great for 49 min., then let tampon beat us. So I start the week after at Oak. It just sounds better to say 5-2.)

Since that Broncos game Cam has pretty much been lights out. With a couple of off days thrown in. We have been winning at a good clip ever since. Winning is not new to these guys. They just don't care. Celebrate until you go to bed, cuz come Mon., things are all about the next opponent.

We play physical, hard nosed, smart football. We will beat you up if you aren't prepared. We will not beat ourselves often enough for you to count on that one anymore. We own TOP, we make few mistakes, we usually win the turnover battle, and we can not only score, but we make it extremely difficult for you to do so.

In short. We play good football.

Winning on the road is tough, no denying that fact. But our Defense travels well, and we have a 1:05 start time. To me, it all comes down to the Offense. Score like usual, and we win. Get bogged down in scoring position, and we could very well lose.

I'll finish with this. They had better bring there "A" game. Otherwise we are going to spank them and their overrated, big mouthed, slovenly pathetic coach. Fugging cry baby.

Let me rephrase.

I didn't think that a rephrase was necessary with the seasoned posters on this board.

CK has more big time wins than Newton and until that changes, until Newton leads the team from come from behinds or until he gets them at least to a playoff game, in the media's eyes, the Ws in big time games are all that matters. They were talking qb status.

I understand Cam is nothing more than a workworkhorse for this team and folks like u but the show attempt was quite obvious.

Newton does not have any of those, and no, wins in the 2nd half of the season against teams that have already wrapped up playoff berths don't matter.

Again everyone on this board knows how the media portrays things and that's what I was trying to say.

As for me, and I love Cam Newton, I want him to be the best that ever played or at least to do what Jake did, get to the playoffs and have a chance but the truth is, I don't care who plays, I care about winning.

Yeah because Kaepernick just plays on some scrub team, and literally has to will them to victory every week. Wait, no, he doesn't.

Wins are a team statistic. Our team is playing better, and that is why we are winning. Plain and simple.

Simple and plain, we put our best body part forward everyday and continuously progressing.

That is how reasonable people see it.

It's not how the media sees it.

If they saw it otherwise, we would not be hearing about Andrew Luck every second of every day.

Again, I'd love for Cam to supplant all of them, maybe he will, maybe he won't, but the fact is for me, I don't care if Zod is the QB, I just want a Super Bowl in Charlotte.

I'm beginning to feel a lot of Panthers' fans view is quite clouded by that obsession.

The segment had nothing to do with the teams and their wins. It was a question about picking which QB you would want to start on your team. I believe that was the point of this thread. Cam was chosen by the majority of those on the set regardless of how the Panthers, as a team, has been doing.  Plus they made it known that Cam has really brought the team around to trusting him and seeing him as a leader. Colin never had to do that. The 49ers were a winning team regardless of their QBs.

Both Cam and Colin are three year Vet. Colin lucked out and ended up on a team where even their qb, at the time, was nothing more than a team managment qb, yet they were already in the play-offs.

Cam landed on a team that not only needed to rebuild but a real boost of self-confidence to get them to hold onto wins they were blowing out. Just looking  at it that way and see where the Panthers are now, can't see why anyone wouldn't pick Cam over Colin.

In saying all of that, I will also say, I LOVE me some Colin. He is part of the draft class of 2011. And like Cam, had to prove himselve but he's doing a damn good job.

Well, unfortunately, not just any QB will do. Ask some of these teams in the NFL who have been looking for a franchise quarterback for years. This is why people that jump on Cam if he so much as sneezes too loudly come across as uninformed imbeciles at best.

Andrew Luck was a once in a lifetime savior before he even left Stanford. Nothing has changed.

The media will always pick and choose which QB's they want to hype up. I generally ignore their drivel, it's largely irrelevant anyways. Our team will go far when they all begin playing at a high level consistently. It looks good right now, hopefully we can maintain that.

So CK's offensive line didn't have anything to do with that?

Or his receivers?

Or his defense?

CK had those wins, eh? Good to know the game of football is that simple for some of y'all.

You clearly didn't read the string.

We are all Panthers fans on this board.

Save the judgement on 'simplicity' for the opposing team's fans.
