Bold Predictions for Panthers vs. 49ers

Panthers get a quick 3 and out of defense to start the game then get the ball and have 1 drive that lasts the entire first half, score right before half. Line up in field goal formation and do a fake and have nortman (or whoever our placeholder is) throw a pass to a sneaky hartstock. 8-0 halftime. Get the ball first in the second half a do a deep bomb to ginn on the first play for a td

On the last play in the 1st quarter, Colin Kaepernick runs the read option and elects to keep the ball when he sees Star and Hardy closing in on Frank Gore. He keeps the ball and rolls to his right and out of nowhere comes Captain Munnerlyn and pops him square on his chest. Kaepernick leaves with a bruised sternum.

Bethel-Thompson enters the game and is quickly sacked on back to back plays by Charles Johnson and Thomas Davis. The 49ers are forced to run the rest of the entire game and Luke has a giant smile on his face before each snap of the ball.

"Come to Daddy" he says. Come to daddy mother bitches.

Neither team scores 20 points and it is a close defensive contest.

A defense or special teams score could decide this one.

I look for our offense to do something early, but struggle to score in the 2nd half.

Can't pick a winner...but I will say I like our chances to at least hang with the Niners.

Likely a close contest down to the end.  This could be the REAL test Cam/Rivera have been waiting for all year.  Can they pass?

Total defensive struggle the first half as each team shuts down the run effectively.  In the second, the pressure to move the team starts wearing on Cap, while Cam starts finding a dink-and-dunk comfort zone before unloading one to Ginn deep.  Ultimately, Cam wins the battle of the QBs.  He has a rating over 110 with two TDs, while Cap has a TD and an INT and a lousy completion percentage.

The game closes with the Panthers having the ball and needing a field goal to win.  Rivera makes the right calls, Cam moves the chains to the 30, and Gano splits the uprights as time expires.

Final score, Carolina 20, San Francisco 17.
