2 DUIs. Felony Gun Charges.

Yea, he should be suspended regardless of what technicality allows him to play now.

1) Its ONE DUI. The first was plead down and resolved.

2) Gun charges will likely be dropped. The DA is puffing out his chest to prove he isn't giving favoritism to celebs. The guns were purchased LEGALLY in Arizona and he brought them to CA. It has to be proven that he knowingly went to Arizona specifically to buy the gun and move them illegally...and thats kinda impossible since he was in Arizona at the time for a game. The DA has no case...and he knows it.

Moreover, the league has a quandry on this one...if he were an Arizona Cardinal, he'd never have been charged with anything gun related to begin with.

On top of all of that, the guns were found after an incident at his house where he was the VICTIM. Most often, the DA will not press charges because they want the victim to cooperate and testify against the perpetrator of the crime.

3) No player in the NFL would have been suspended. Moreover, he's already been out for 5 weeks when his suspension would likely have only been 4...and not likely until next year.

Aldon has made some DUMB decisions. There is no question about that...but you don't have a clue what you are talking about when it comes to his legal battles and his discipline from the league. The only reason peeps here think he should be suspended still is that they would rather he didn't play against them on Sunday but would really like him to come back NEXT week to face the Saints.

Don't forget the drugs and pills in his car in his most recent DUI

Pills were prescription. There were no other drugs. Initially reported as Marijuana in his car but that was an error. It was bad enough that he was at twice the legal limit at 7 AM. Drugs not an issue. Just alcahol.

I don't care about technicalities of it.  Just because he plead down on a DUI doesn't mean he wasn't drinking and driving.  Yes, he has made many DUMB decisions.  Just because he went to rehab doesn't mean he shouldn't face the consequences.

We've had our fair share of idiots on the Panthers and they would deserve to be suspended too.  The CBA and appeals process is an absolute joke.

I didn't say it wasn't a crime.

The problem is that the way the law is written, intent is a part of it. Intent to knowingly break the law is required. He'll have to give up the guns or modify them...no doubt (and all that is wrong with them is a magazine that doesn't require a tool to remove).

I've done ALOT of research on this one. If you don't believe me I'll find you a link to the law.

I'd be STUNNED if the charges weren't plead down significalty or dropped altogether.

Was he not knowing about the law and bringing them before, or after he had the party where gang members showed up?

Dammit, if this doesn't sound exactly like all the Saints drivel after the bountygate scandal was exposed.  "But, but, but, but.."

GTFO - bring his junkie ass on this weekend.

...you are missing the part where HE'S ALREADY MISSED 5 GAMES.

The commish has already come out and said the goal of the NFL is to make sure the behavior stops. the point isn't to punish. The fact that he's already missed 5 games in a rehab facility could very well mean he faces no suspension and only has a stiff fine.

Before.

He was stabbed trying to get those guys to leave BTW.

Bad decision, but he was the VICTIM in that case, not the perp.

Don't get me wrong here...he's been an IDIOT. DUMB decisions.

Lets just not start making sh*t up. He's guilty of what he's guilty of. We don't need to add on which is exactly what the media and fans of other teams just love to do.

Make excuses if you want. He sounds like a spoiled idiot to me.

Regardless, I hope he cleans his act up, I have no ill will towards him.

oh...lol...you get no argument from me on the spoiled idiot part.  :D

My only issue here is the exageration of the charges against him.
