Kirk Morrison was on Fox Sports radio last night talking about how Stanford guys have a pretty widely reputation around the league as being known as soft that I thought was amusing and perhaps telling.

 

 

Also, without any reason whatsoever for doing so, mentioned that Steve Smith is known around the league as "the O.G." of toughness and trash talk in league circles.

 

It's a shame media types who have no idea what they're looking at 75% of the time vote on something as important as Hall of Fame inductees. If it were up to the people that knew Smitty would be a lock. I've never seen a player get as much respect around the league as Smith does.

What's the point in doing something you hate just because you're good at it when you're a kid?  I was a phenomenal swimmer when I was a teenager but had absolutely zero interest in doing it competitively.. had a blast being a mediocre football player instead.
