San Francisco Newpaper: Cam Is Better Than Kaepernick

Did not know that Cam was leading the league in completion percentage under pressure.

Granted, I'm betting his near the top in attempts under pressure as well.

Which makes it even more impressive: he's being pressured a lot, and still completing a ridiculous 75% of his passes under pressure.

Wait. The author is an idiot.

His dad is worse.

They are both ignorant.

Now if there are Niner fans, who are also A's fans, they will show up. Most A's fans are smart enough to NOT be Niner fans...

You sir, are a genius. As perhaps the only other Warriors, A's, Panthers fan in the Bay Area, we are certainly limited editions. Like the white fudge covered Oreos you can only find at Christmas time.

Mmmmmmmm fudgey Oreos....

While I agree, I think it'd be more comparable to look at Cam's numbers when he had the same number of starts as Kaepernick does now. Obviously, there is an advantage to sitting behind a starter and learning like Kaepernick did, but you can never fully develop until you have some serious in-game experience.

I think Cam has more upside than Kaepernick, but you're comparing a guy with 40 starts to a guy who with close to 20 starts (I think?).

15, to which point in his career Cam had already broken Peyton's passing record and the record for most TDs in a season by a QB, after four weeks of practice before starting his first NFL game.

I'm pretty sure if you compare Cam's first 20 starts to Kaepernick's there's still no argument Cam is better.

I'm talking more about reading defenses and completion percentage under pressure. I should have made myself more clear. I don't know one way or another, I just think that's a more interesting comparison.

Cam was one of the best QB's under pressure his rookie year.
