Cam Newton now #10 on ESPN's MVP Watch

Luck is good and I like the kid and everything... but holy poo no way should he be #2 on that list.

I can see Luck being really great for years to come, but NFL/ESPN/etc. trying to force feed him down our throats is a little aggravating to say the least.  Let the dude put up MVP numbers before putting him over moleface (who, despite him being a Saint, in no way should be ranked behind Luck).

Honestly, I'm wondering if Drew is ever going to win MVP lol.  Dude has put up his fair share of MVP-type seasons but seems to always fall short in the voting.

Cam will never win MVP. They will scrutinize him harder than a specimen under a microscope before he earns such an honor. Let's be real, unlike the Heisman and other more objective awards, these MVP awards are subject and given out by those in the media. Do you seriously believe they will give such an honor to Cam before they give it to their already chosen QBs?

Jeez... You are acting like there is some sort of conspiracy out there against Cam when it comes to this award because of media scrutiny of a former #1 draft pick? Look at the list of previous winners and check your persecution complex at the door. Its pretty straight forward how players win this. Again, check the list of the past ten years. The majority of winners are HOF type players. If Cam has the numbers and the team goes deep in the Playoffs he'll be heavily considered.

This guy really loves him some Cam, as Cam is now #7 on their MVP list, up from 10 a week ago. A solid Monday Night Football game would probably propel him even further.

Yes, yes, YES everybody within eight cubicles knows he cost you your fantasy game Sunday, but (a) nobody cares and (b) watching that game only deepened the Watch's conviction about Newton's value. Do you know he was 6-for-8 for 63 yards on third downs in the second half? The best one may have been the third-and-19 in the fourth quarter on which he hit Steve Smith for only 6 yards because that was all he had and he knew it would set up Graham Gano for a 53-yard field goal try. Gano made the kick to give the Panthers the 10-9 lead they would not relinquish. Sometimes, instead of catching people jumping out of burning buildings, all Superman does is get a kid's cat out of a tree. But he can still go to bed knowing he had a good day.

Well since they love to play gods, a thousand years is like a day and a day is like a thousand years, to them. In their world, Luck is already sized for his HOF jacket.

Putting jokes aside...You should know by now that there is the real world and then there is the media's world. They like things to be on their time. Remember they have been hyping the almighty arrival of Luck since 2011. He was already given the Heisman Trophy in 2011 by those on ESPN and he lost it to Cam, who in their minds came out of nowhere and took it. They then had him pegged as the front runner for rhe 2012 Heisman Trophy and RG III came and took it but at least they knew his background.

Luck has never proven himself by his numbers that is why he lost the Heisman twice. Stanford has a very good football system. Aren't they still winning despite Luck not being there? His talent is more hyped and he's more like Alex Smith than Andy Dalton or Cam. Not a bad thing but not who the folks in the media are making him out to be.

His father must have a lot of inside the media friends like the Manning boys. JS

You mean he's not obsessing over one bad throw like Billick and some folks on here? Shocking!! :)
