I understand MHS831.....but it would have made sense to bring in anyone with offensive line experience as a stopgap measure instead of someone who has never played it before and has no clue. What the hell is he gonna do if God forbid he has to play? Talk about ESPN highlights...lord help us.....no oline injures Sunday.

Well Fua always does make offenses look good when he is on the field.

Fua's biggest problem is awful footwork and being pushed around extremely easily. Not sure that translates into a good OL player.

This was either exactly the excuse Rivera needed to get Fua back in a jersey and out there on D on sundays or Gettleman is so adamantly determined not to concede he made a mistake in handling the OL this offseason that he refuses to make a move.

Actually, nothing. They're pretty clearly desperate for depth, but on game day I'd wager he'll still be inactive.

As to why he gets chances like this, he's an 'effort' guy. He gives it everything he's got, which is cool. Unfortunately, he just doesn't have the talent.

C'est la vie. Next year Gettleman will be in 'phase two'. wouldn't put too much money on Fua even getting to go to training camp.
