You are correct about YPA, but my original argument was about passing game efficiency, and how just completion percentage doesn't tell the full story. 

 

I think the both guys are playing really close this year. They are being asked to do different things, and they are both playing pretty well. 

 

I believe Cam is more relied on in his offense to make plays and score TDs than Kaep is for the 49ers. 

Truth is that Cam used to think that and was a reason he often threw picks and tried to do too much.  A big part of his success as of late is realizing that he doesn't have to make big plays for the team to be successful.  He can be a part of the offense not the whole offense. The fact he makes so many big plays is a function of his athleticism not because the team needs him to make big plays or that he has to do it.

How do you stop the #1 rush in the league tho? We put 150 on the Cards #5 rush d. We put up 100 on Packers #4 rush d. The Panthets D is going to have to do more than stop the run. They have to contain Kaep, matchup with Davis, bracket Boldin, and find a way to win the LOS against the best oline they've faced all year. The Panthers D is going to have to be every bit as good as you guys think they are. Will see.

 

 

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China??? We are not the Cardinals or the Packers. Divisional games are difficult games to predict, so you putting up 150 yards on the Cards does not surprise me. Neither does you getting blown out by the Seahawks, who we lost to 12-7. Am I doin it right??? Other than the Green Bay and the Jacksonville game Kaepernick has been very pedestrian. Not hating, just stating the facts. We don't have to contain Kaepernck. We win this game by doing exactly what the colts did, which is stop the run on 1st and 2nd down to force a 3rd and long situation. Rush 4 and dorop 7. Make Kaepernick go through his progressions which he has proven he cant do consistently enough to beat you with his arm.

Second, AP is not that hard to stop. Stack the box and make Ponder or, even worse, Cassell beat you. Any team with a good front 7 should stop AP. 

 

You didn't stop spiller, or the Bills. 

You guys actually gave up 149 yards to the 7th ranked Bills. (16 car  103 yards for CJ Spiller)

 

Falcons O line is decimated and they can't run on anybody. Hence being ranked dead last in rushing offense. 

 

Zac Stacey? Really? You're validating your defense because you stopped zach stacey?

 

You guys have faced 2 top 10 rushing attacks. Did a good job stopping the seahawks, which we didn't do.

The reason ap is so good is because teams do stack the box on him and he still gains yards. We held him to his lowest rushing yards of the season. Without spillers one long 46 yard run he only has 60 yards. He was stopped for most of the game and just broke one late. Your rushing attack has faced good defenses and gotten stopped. See the Seahawks and colts. Prepare yourself to get stopped again. I think gore will have around 50 yards. Good luck
