Diatomite Exploration Drilling

Anyone ever heard of anyone working in the exploration side of things in the diatomite drilling/surface mining industry?

 

Looks random and hands-on but interested the hell outta me for some reason.

From what I heard, I guess it's growing in Nevada, California, Washington, and Oregon and being backed by a lot of big industry players in energy/drilling.

When I was at my last job I was assigned to overseeing the automation side of a big Diatomite Production area.  We extracted oil after steaming the heck out of the formation.

 

We've been doing it for years but recent technological advancements are being implemented to optimize and increase production.

 

Nothing special, really.  Just another zone to exploit for corporate 'Merica.
