I have no clue, waiting till after Christmas to get the Xbox. I'm sure you could of had you waited out last night. Let us know what you think of it, and hopefully you don't get one of the small percentage of ones with the faulty disc drive mang!

I had a hard time updating the XBone. I had to restart it twice because it wouldn't connect to my network, and then it quit in the middle of the update download. After I got that figured out, I went to install Forza and it wouldn't read the disc, so I ejected the disc and put it right back in, and it worked. No problems since. I also got Ryse but it read the disc the first time I tried so no worries there. The PS4 took me a total of about 10 minutes to get it up and running, the XBone took about an hour, give or take a few minutes. Neither system impresses me over the other one at this point, although it could be the game selections not being very much now. Killzone is a masterpiece, and Forza is a beast. I got the Limited Edition so I could have the 2013 McLaren P1, Aston Martin Vanquish, Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, and the 1987 Yellowbird right off the bat.

I was at Gamestop last week and struck up a conversation with the manager. He flat out said that the PS4 isn't worth the money and he recommends people to stick with the current gen. He said there's hardly any upgrade at all and it's pretty disappointing. That's pretty much what I was expecting so it was no big shock to me, besides the fact that it came out of a video game store managers mouth.

I'm hanging on to my 360 until they quit making new games for it. There's a huge backlog of games I haven't played and not many reasons to upgrade yet.

After getting the XBOX hooked up, I'm just not sure why this TV feature is on there...as the XBOX does nothing your remote won't do...

Navigating and getting used to the menus is such a pain in the royal rear-end.  That's not to say it doesn't accomplish what it sets out to, but I was lost for about half an hour.

Haven't used much Kinect as the "XBOX, On." type commands just seem to gimmicky and don't work as you see on TV.  Plus, when you have friends over, they can torment you by just saying the word, "Xbox" as a new overlay will become active.  Had to turn Kinect off as there was noway to disable voice commands by itself (that I could find).

A bright and shining light from my experiences so far, is the controller.  The motorized triggers are excellent.  I bought Forza with the console, and the rumble makes the Left Trigger feel like a brake pedal, and of course right as the Accelerator.  As for Forza, that's a whole-nother topic, and Forza is well done.

Haven't watched a Bluray or tried Streaming anything yet, so can't comment on those features.  The manual and tutorial for the console were very lacking. Not many tips to point you in the right direction, but eventually I got there.

Obviously the jury will be out until more games are released, and features are added, but so far.  I tend to side with the, "Less is more" crowd, so the PS4 interface is much more attractive.

I've come to the same conclusion. I just don't see the upgrade in either sense. In a year, maybe. I popped in Halo 4 for some fun, and it looks on the level of the new consoles.

Maybe in a year we'll see a difference. Did you really adopters, I salute you. I hope the games get better and start to really be next generation. I do hear that the zoo keeper game on the one is silly fun.

as for the matter at hand, im just now cranking up my comparison with the online reviews and such, but i can say that I walked into Gamestop the other day and dawdled with the PS4 controller and it was a huge improvement.

pretty positive thats the direction im gonna go after being a MS guy last gen.

can anybody give me an unbiased evaluation of what this deal with the NFL on XB1 is? It comes across as me being able to watch any game any time, but obviously the stipulations are there and Im just curious what they are.

    • Super raw, not sure he is worth a top 10 pick.  Primary a pass rusher.  A bit like Burns, very fast athletic but doesnt always follow the play.  His highlights look good but when you watch him play you can see he is just raw and needs to develop
    • Personally, I am not sold on Bryce yet--and I do not think anyone is saying they are, but I don't think Ward is on table when we draft anyway.  Not even sure if I would rather have him than one of the later QBs.  I see a lot of potential in Allar, Nussmeire, Rourke, and even Hamilton from Ohio State--Milroe is intriguing, but I am not sure he is an NFL QB.  Ewers is that sleeper who falls and becomes a solid starter. I think that we sign a veteran who has played and we draft one of these project QBs. To your point:  With that in mind, I think you have to take QB off the table in round 1, and if Bryce can string 4-5 games like KC together, we still need to draft a QB in round three or so---I really think Rourke is a great fit for this offense--he is accurate and gets the ball out quickly---he impressed me vs OSU.   Reason?  I think we may have a tough decision to make about Bryce in 2 years--will he be worth $60m?  That decision is a lot easier if you have been grooming a backup for 2 years who can play. In round 1: I am hoping for PSU's edge Abdul Carter In round 2:  I would like to see us grab a DT who can rush the passer.  Walter Nolen of Ole Miss is versatile and a bit raw. I think he could be an excellent complement to Brown. In round 3:  I would love ILB Danny Stutsman from Oklahoma.  He is a beast. With 11 picks, I would package our 4th rounders to move up into the third round and take a QB.  At the moment, I think Rourke is trending upward and he has the skills Canales seems to want in a QB.  Quick processor, quick release. I would use the fifth rounders on OL.  I know that I left out WR--however, we are getting Thielen back, XL will be improved, Coker will be improved, and Moore has been surprisingly good.  Sanders (TE) has been more than expected in the passing game.  I think we need D more than WR, and maybe we can get a veteran WR to sign or find a hidden gem late.
    • Wouldn't be surprised if he starts a couple Jets games this year with the way the Rodgers thing is going. Giants fans are pissed they didn't keep him lol. He might actually have a little bit of a market.
