Sweet, I would like to know how much effort was put into some of these dual lauch titles for the old system versus the PS4/Xbox One. I'm thinking they may just be direct ports with just better graphics. Particularly Madden 25.

Your not a sheep. But the people that design consoles are leading you down a path of extortion. Secret levels and character customization should be unlocked by playing games. Not micro transactions. We didn't fall in love with consoles for the "features" that will dominate the new generation. But by purchasing them we encourage the money grab. It's tough because I want to buy a new gen console but I'm not paying 60 bucks for a new game. I'm not paying 10 bucks for a map or 15 a month for online play I won't use. The games aren't that great. Nothing about these new consoles impress me. The one thing I would kill for is an affordable on demand sports streaming service. Be It NFL Sunday ticket season pass or a pay per game scheme.

I think its really easy for PC gamers to go all high and mighty too often.  I agree with C47, they have their place with the consoles.  I am a console gamer.  Does that make me a sheep?  I don't think it does.  Frankly, I can't afford to build a good PC.  Please, don't give me the "for $400 you can build a gaming PC that runs laps around a console" in regards to the newest generation.  360/PS3, sure, but there is much to be seen regarding the consoles.  I've done the "pricing builds" and I always come in well over that because: 1. I need a good case that isn't 4 feet tall.  2. I like my PCs to have SSDs (which kind of blow price up completely.  3.  I like good video cards, and I tend to go Intel for PC processors because I don't just like to game.  So no, $400-$500 won't get me what I want.

On the other hand, a console experience is pretty straight forward.  Maybe I'm getting lazy in my age here, but I like to grab controller, turn it on, play games with minimal fuss (I'm looking at you PS3 with your crazy updates/too long installs!).  PCs are like expensive sports cars in that you need to maintain them to a greater degree than you do a console.  Prior to my RROD, my xbox ran like a champ.  Fixed the RROD, runs like a champ.  I can play for HOURS (which I did this weekend), and nothing except hot air.  PCs, you can get too crazy with your setting, your clocks, your ram configurations.  Lets not get into driver support or OS issues, ect. that effect PCs in general.  You can tweek for hours to find the right balance of performance versus shinies.  That was cool when I was 20...and even then there weren't as many tools like today.

The steambox will be an interesting development.  I want to see more.  From what I've seen of the PS4 and XboxOne, I'm going to continue to call it a "wait and see."  I got really jazzed looking a the next gen graphics, but the reviews are saying the same thing "pretty doesn't always make it better."  I'm happy with my 360/PS3, and LOTRO on my laptop.  I still want to see something that really says "This is what next gen really feels like."  Not another clone.

The one thing that can be said here is you can take ownership of a PC problem. You can replace the broken part yourself pretty quickly at a low cost depending on the part. When my xbox broke I had a back and forth by email for three weeks were every guy asked me to plug it in and try to turn it on. After three weeks they gave me an adress to mail it in. They sent me someone elses refurbished 360 instead of sending back mine. That 360 stopped working within months and I bought a ps3.

You can fix the xbox's and ps3's yourself also. You just have to have the know how, actually you can fix it yourself better than Xbox can. Mine went in twice and I finally fixed it myself (upgraded to a better cooling fan with led lights) and no more issues. Granted they should be working right to begin with, thats the benifit of waiting on these new generations to work out the bugs. i read where there are already HDMI issues with the PS4. i will be waiting till they get there poo right.

Madden definitely has a lot of the same features and feels, but the Ignite engine is definitely not a port and you can tell right away that it's fresh and new.

Call Of Duty feels like a direct port.

    • Super raw, not sure he is worth a top 10 pick.  Primary a pass rusher.  A bit like Burns, very fast athletic but doesnt always follow the play.  His highlights look good but when you watch him play you can see he is just raw and needs to develop
    • Personally, I am not sold on Bryce yet--and I do not think anyone is saying they are, but I don't think Ward is on table when we draft anyway.  Not even sure if I would rather have him than one of the later QBs.  I see a lot of potential in Allar, Nussmeire, Rourke, and even Hamilton from Ohio State--Milroe is intriguing, but I am not sure he is an NFL QB.  Ewers is that sleeper who falls and becomes a solid starter. I think that we sign a veteran who has played and we draft one of these project QBs. To your point:  With that in mind, I think you have to take QB off the table in round 1, and if Bryce can string 4-5 games like KC together, we still need to draft a QB in round three or so---I really think Rourke is a great fit for this offense--he is accurate and gets the ball out quickly---he impressed me vs OSU.   Reason?  I think we may have a tough decision to make about Bryce in 2 years--will he be worth $60m?  That decision is a lot easier if you have been grooming a backup for 2 years who can play. In round 1: I am hoping for PSU's edge Abdul Carter In round 2:  I would like to see us grab a DT who can rush the passer.  Walter Nolen of Ole Miss is versatile and a bit raw. I think he could be an excellent complement to Brown. In round 3:  I would love ILB Danny Stutsman from Oklahoma.  He is a beast. With 11 picks, I would package our 4th rounders to move up into the third round and take a QB.  At the moment, I think Rourke is trending upward and he has the skills Canales seems to want in a QB.  Quick processor, quick release. I would use the fifth rounders on OL.  I know that I left out WR--however, we are getting Thielen back, XL will be improved, Coker will be improved, and Moore has been surprisingly good.  Sanders (TE) has been more than expected in the passing game.  I think we need D more than WR, and maybe we can get a veteran WR to sign or find a hidden gem late.
    • Wouldn't be surprised if he starts a couple Jets games this year with the way the Rodgers thing is going. Giants fans are pissed they didn't keep him lol. He might actually have a little bit of a market.
