PS4 or Xbox1?

So for some more thought here regarding the listless nature of the "new" consoles:

It sums my thoughts up perfectly.  I think the fact that a major console pusher like Titanfall plays 85% as well as the X1 version shows that the new consoles really aren't that great.  This is a fear that someone like me has had from the get go.  Hopefully developers get their heads around the new consoles and can start delivering newer, better games.  Not just prettier refreshes.

People continue to overlook Watchdogs and Destiny. Why? Those two are going to be games that pave the way for these new consoles (at least on PS4, as far as Destiny is concerned). Also, almost everything on PS4 is native 1080p, and MOST of the games pushed out on X1 are 900p, at best (a lot of 720p). Doesn't SEEM like a big deal to some, but when comparing the new system to the old, X1 is a waste of money. Titanfall, their premiere title, runs at 792p. PS4 has one title so far that isn't 1080p native, and that is BF4 (900p on PS4, 720p on X1).  Why the difference? Stronger core capabilities for the PS4.

Tomb Raider and Second Son both look like fuging movies in gameplay. And Watchdogs may look even better than both of those (btw, X1 will run Watchdogs at 960p, while PS4 runs at 1080p).

Watchdogs has been confirmed to be released on May 27 for at least a month now, at least.

Destiny has no subscription fee (no idea where you heard that). It's flat rate $60 for the disc, and then DLC after that. Also, as for the war between Sony and Microsoft....PS4 is getting exclusive content for Destiny. So, basically, the best version of this game will be on PS4.

Of course the new consoles aren't going to make the same games available for say, PS3 and PS4 more fun. It's the same companies and for now, the same games (generally) on both last gen and next gen. The look of the game, for me, can make it more enjoyable. It's easier for me to get immersed into a game's world if I feel like I'm actually there, visually. They're squeezing money out of last gen for what, another year, maybe 2? So, yeah, you can avoid buying the newer consoles for a while. If you don't mind missing out on the release of some of the titles, knock yourself out. But what's the difference in shooters from PS2 to PS3? What's the biggest difference between how sports titles are played? Games are always going to play the same. "Fun" is an entirely subjective term (as you pointed out by saying that Second Son doesn't seem that fun to you). So, it's not really fair to make an objective assessment with a subjective term. By all means, again, if you wanna hold out on the new consoles, cool. I don't really give a poo what you do. I'm jsut saying, there ARE reasons to get newer consoles (better specs, better titles like Destiny, etc).

What games are people playing on XBONE? I have some down time and want a few games. I have Ghosts, Titanfall downloading now, FIFA 2014, Need for speed Rivals

Assassin's Creed Black Flag is pretty entertaining.  I only have five games right now....I really only play two of them, but I always go back to Black Flag whenever I get bored.

Side note: I have

Ghosts

TitanFall

Battlefield

Ryse (fun to play once, but it's probably going back to Gamestop soon)

Assassin's Creed: Black Flag

In case y'all missed it (or likely didn't care), the Xbox One will now sell sans Kinect for $400.  Same as PS4, but will it be a big deal?  Also, more apps are being freed up from XBL subscriptions.  Games with Gold and sales are coming to the Xbox One as well.
