PS4 or Xbox1?

Sony's CES 14 keynote was today. The big announcement outside of cloud game streaming in the Summer was that the PS4 has sold 4.2 million units in not even two months. Keep in mind the thing isn't even out in it's home territory of Japan yet. Pretty damn impressive....

nah you can never have too much ram. you'll need it sooner or later unless you want to upgrade the speed

you'll never use more than 60% of that psu tho

too bad you can't downgrade to win 7

oh for sure... just 32 GB is crazy considering not too long ago I was fapping at upgrading to 512 MB.

And 7 definitely > 8

I find the idea of the the streaming/cloud gaming to be very interesting.  Probably the most interesting offering from Sony over all at CES.   I'd actually get a PS+ account if I could stream games to my phone...would make my lunches way more fun!

PS4 for me.

Good choice. I've hardly turned on my Xbox 1 since I picked it up right after Christmas. Not saying that won't change (because it will), but even Forza doesn't really draw me in as much as my PS4 game do (which are all multiplat fwiw other than Killzone).

I like both but imo the ps4 is far ahead of the xbox one in terms of being a pure gaming machine. look at the exclusives and decide that way since most of the AAA titals come out on both systems anyway.

Infamous: Second Son makes the PS4 the clear forerunner here. Game is amazing. Not to mention them soon porting The Last of Us to PS4 and Destiny coming out later this year. AND, don't forget other console exclusives established on PS3 that will have sequels or reboots on the PS4. Also, some of the free titles for PS Plus users, like Resogun and Outlast are a lot of fun (Outlast was simply awesome. And I think I've heard Xbox One MAY be getting Outlast later this year, so there's that).

Xbone has nothing to compete. Titanfall will be a paperweight in time (IMO, anyway. It just looks boring to me. Like something people will play for a short time, and then just stop), and I've heard that they have plans to release any sequel to PS4 as well, so it won't even be an exclusive to challenge. What's left? Ryse? That looks like a poor attempt to create God of War, but not as fun/epic in scale.

It just seems like, if you're a gamer, PS4 is what you want.

These are entirely just my opinions coupled with comparisons to exclusive titles at this point. I think we should really wait to compare around Christmas. Give each platform a chance to work out it's issues and release a few titles, then compare fairly.

    • Super raw, not sure he is worth a top 10 pick.  Primary a pass rusher.  A bit like Burns, very fast athletic but doesnt always follow the play.  His highlights look good but when you watch him play you can see he is just raw and needs to develop
    • Personally, I am not sold on Bryce yet--and I do not think anyone is saying they are, but I don't think Ward is on table when we draft anyway.  Not even sure if I would rather have him than one of the later QBs.  I see a lot of potential in Allar, Nussmeire, Rourke, and even Hamilton from Ohio State--Milroe is intriguing, but I am not sure he is an NFL QB.  Ewers is that sleeper who falls and becomes a solid starter. I think that we sign a veteran who has played and we draft one of these project QBs. To your point:  With that in mind, I think you have to take QB off the table in round 1, and if Bryce can string 4-5 games like KC together, we still need to draft a QB in round three or so---I really think Rourke is a great fit for this offense--he is accurate and gets the ball out quickly---he impressed me vs OSU.   Reason?  I think we may have a tough decision to make about Bryce in 2 years--will he be worth $60m?  That decision is a lot easier if you have been grooming a backup for 2 years who can play. In round 1: I am hoping for PSU's edge Abdul Carter In round 2:  I would like to see us grab a DT who can rush the passer.  Walter Nolen of Ole Miss is versatile and a bit raw. I think he could be an excellent complement to Brown. In round 3:  I would love ILB Danny Stutsman from Oklahoma.  He is a beast. With 11 picks, I would package our 4th rounders to move up into the third round and take a QB.  At the moment, I think Rourke is trending upward and he has the skills Canales seems to want in a QB.  Quick processor, quick release. I would use the fifth rounders on OL.  I know that I left out WR--however, we are getting Thielen back, XL will be improved, Coker will be improved, and Moore has been surprisingly good.  Sanders (TE) has been more than expected in the passing game.  I think we need D more than WR, and maybe we can get a veteran WR to sign or find a hidden gem late.
    • Wouldn't be surprised if he starts a couple Jets games this year with the way the Rodgers thing is going. Giants fans are pissed they didn't keep him lol. He might actually have a little bit of a market.
