PS4 or Xbox1?

Let's recap:

A thread where the OP is asking about 2 gaming consoles, neither of which is a PC, is made.  Said thread then garners posts from people espousing the superiority of PC gaming and those who do it, in the process belittling console gamers who may very well be/have been PC gamers.  One console gamer, who again may also be/have been a PC gamer, is then accused of 'hating' when responding to a smug comment from a poster talking about something that was never intended to be in the thread in the first place.

Seems legit.

I'm a PC gamer as well as Console gamer, but the Steam box is going to be just like a PC that your going to need to upgrade occasional through a 3-4 year period unless you go into the higher end on parts.

That being said, I'll be building a steam box for my living room once I can decide on everything.

That card came out in 2009. And yes, I used to play a lot more games on PC when I had the time. No one here is arguing the point that PC is where the best graphics and flexibility can be found, but not everyone has the time or interest in keeping up with the hobby in that manner. Doesn't make them inferior to select a different platform that better fits their life.

And I agree with the post above about the Steambox. If it quacks like a mini PC and runs like a mini PC, it's a mini PC. Different platform for a different type of hobbyist.

My girlfriend and I got a PS4 at launch, and like using it quite a bit. As for the Xbone, the experience I have had with it is primarily getting frustrated with the Kinect's inability to understand voice commands (I shouldn't have to yell "Xbox go to Netflix" five times to make it work).

Yet you end up looking like the fool who is shouting at his console.  I just bypass the voice commands.

Love the voice commands for tv watching.  Works fine for 90% of what I do.  Yeah it can't find 645-1 on Direct TV...YET.  I could see this easily being software upgrades to enhance the tv viewing.

Stupid internet being upgraded and down until 6th...so can't test Skype or other stuff.

Got my wii u and am happily anticipating 2014 games that will be only available for it. I also have a ps3.  I'll glady take my mario, kirby, and legend of zelda over all the brown graphic first person shooters. Sure the wii u isnt as powerful as the ps4/xbox1, but i think thats the main problem with gaming nowadays, everyone focuses on the graphics. Graphics alone do not make a good game. So far nintendo makes fun games for me over the other two.

    • Super raw, not sure he is worth a top 10 pick.  Primary a pass rusher.  A bit like Burns, very fast athletic but doesnt always follow the play.  His highlights look good but when you watch him play you can see he is just raw and needs to develop
    • Personally, I am not sold on Bryce yet--and I do not think anyone is saying they are, but I don't think Ward is on table when we draft anyway.  Not even sure if I would rather have him than one of the later QBs.  I see a lot of potential in Allar, Nussmeire, Rourke, and even Hamilton from Ohio State--Milroe is intriguing, but I am not sure he is an NFL QB.  Ewers is that sleeper who falls and becomes a solid starter. I think that we sign a veteran who has played and we draft one of these project QBs. To your point:  With that in mind, I think you have to take QB off the table in round 1, and if Bryce can string 4-5 games like KC together, we still need to draft a QB in round three or so---I really think Rourke is a great fit for this offense--he is accurate and gets the ball out quickly---he impressed me vs OSU.   Reason?  I think we may have a tough decision to make about Bryce in 2 years--will he be worth $60m?  That decision is a lot easier if you have been grooming a backup for 2 years who can play. In round 1: I am hoping for PSU's edge Abdul Carter In round 2:  I would like to see us grab a DT who can rush the passer.  Walter Nolen of Ole Miss is versatile and a bit raw. I think he could be an excellent complement to Brown. In round 3:  I would love ILB Danny Stutsman from Oklahoma.  He is a beast. With 11 picks, I would package our 4th rounders to move up into the third round and take a QB.  At the moment, I think Rourke is trending upward and he has the skills Canales seems to want in a QB.  Quick processor, quick release. I would use the fifth rounders on OL.  I know that I left out WR--however, we are getting Thielen back, XL will be improved, Coker will be improved, and Moore has been surprisingly good.  Sanders (TE) has been more than expected in the passing game.  I think we need D more than WR, and maybe we can get a veteran WR to sign or find a hidden gem late.
    • Wouldn't be surprised if he starts a couple Jets games this year with the way the Rodgers thing is going. Giants fans are pissed they didn't keep him lol. He might actually have a little bit of a market.
