PS4 or Xbox1?

Not sure which to get. I love Halo and that's the only thing makes me want to get the Xbone. Also the NFL thing. It may let me watch games as long as there aren't any region restrictions. If there are I am screwed. I am torn since I have been a Playstation and Xbox guy the past two generations. My 360 now is going to last me at least until next year. When I make a decision on which console to purchase.

The TV integration just isn't a selling point to me. If it worked as a whole-house console I would probably be sold (for example, I can play a disk based game in the living room while my son plays a digital based game in his bedroom at the same time from the same console)

I already have a so-called smart TV. I can have twitter on the same screen as a football game or video game already. Why would I want to disconnect my existing equipment and reconnect it through a game console? Trying to watch the Panthers in the Super Bowl... wait, the Xbox has to update first. Gotta download, install and restart before I can catch the game. download starts, come back in 5 minutes... Damn, where's the controller so I can press X to accept T&C?

I think the TV integration is great. I built my house with HDMI, 2 x cat6, and 2 x RG6 cables to every location going back to a central closet location with a Media Computer I built to give Internet access to all TV with Bluetooth keyboards and ir repeaters in every room. So basically I have a true A/V distributed system but still hooked up the Xbox in my den which I basically built like a home theater. Since it has a pass through, it's not like an additional input you need to fit in with all the equipment you already have since it just goes on end of the line. On the other hand it is possible to distribute it to whole house, but you would need to extend the kinect and buy multiple ones for each room, but you wouldn't be able to play two different games at a time,

Bottom line, it's not designed or advertised to be a whole home unit, but is a great addition to whatever location you plug it to that adds voice control and easy internet access via refined apps, if you ever used a media pc, which I built a really nice i7 system, the native resolution can affect picture quality when surfing the web, so using the Xbox apps it alway displays a optimized resolution and great picture.

I know it's not designed to be a whole home unit; that's what I would have liked it to be if they're all about integrating entertainment.

If someone has a high end system like yours, it probably would work miracles. I got tired of messing with IR repeaters and Bluetooth remotes automatically unpairing and just went with RF remote repeaters that caused a lot of interference. They worked great but I had to unplug the repeaters to get the best picture.

    • Personally, I am not sold on Bryce yet--and I do not think anyone is saying they are, but I don't think Ward is on table when we draft anyway.  Not even sure if I would rather have him than one of the later QBs.  I see a lot of potential in Allar, Nussmeire, Rourke, and even Hamilton from Ohio State--Milroe is intriguing, but I am not sure he is an NFL QB.  Ewers is that sleeper who falls and becomes a solid starter. I think that we sign a veteran who has played and we draft one of these project QBs. To your point:  With that in mind, I think you have to take QB off the table in round 1, and if Bryce can string 4-5 games like KC together, we still need to draft a QB in round three or so---I really think Rourke is a great fit for this offense--he is accurate and gets the ball out quickly---he impressed me vs OSU.   Reason?  I think we may have a tough decision to make about Bryce in 2 years--will he be worth $60m?  That decision is a lot easier if you have been grooming a backup for 2 years who can play. In round 1: I am hoping for PSU's edge Abdul Carter In round 2:  I would like to see us grab a DT who can rush the passer.  Walter Nolen of Ole Miss is versatile and a bit raw. I think he could be an excellent complement to Brown. In round 3:  I would love ILB Danny Stutsman from Oklahoma.  He is a beast. With 11 picks, I would package our 4th rounders to move up into the third round and take a QB.  At the moment, I think Rourke is trending upward and he has the skills Canales seems to want in a QB.  Quick processor, quick release. I would use the fifth rounders on OL.  I know that I left out WR--however, we are getting Thielen back, XL will be improved, Coker will be improved, and Moore has been surprisingly good.  Sanders (TE) has been more than expected in the passing game.  I think we need D more than WR, and maybe we can get a veteran WR to sign or find a hidden gem late.
    • Wouldn't be surprised if he starts a couple Jets games this year with the way the Rodgers thing is going. Giants fans are pissed they didn't keep him lol. He might actually have a little bit of a market.
    • I think we look at both.  I wouldn't mind resigning Dalton for a deal.  He would know the offense and there is no pressure to see what we have in him. Then I wouldn't mind finding a low round rookie with potential.
