Pretty simple. Are u guys buying one? And if so which one?

Personally l have always went with sony and I don't see myself switching now.

I don't like how sony is making people pay to play online now though. That was one great thing I valued from PS3. But oh well.

I'm going to wait and see (and try to save some cash).

The fact is the "old" consoles still look great.  We're almost getting to a point where we have to ask "how much better is better?"  Tech demos are cool and stuff, but on the other end, does it make the game better?  With the real competition of mobile gaming for time and dollars, how are they going to sell us the systems as something of real value?  Are the games more fun to play than the 360/PS3 versions?  If they can't answer that question, then they are really going to have a really hard time selling consoles.

As for which one I want...well...I'm on the fence.  I love me some Halo (call me a sheep, Master Chief will protect me!), even the new 343 stuff.  I don't consider $100 to big that big of a deciding factor considering the system will be playable for the next decade or so.  I like the Microsoft media/TV stuff.  I'm not interesting enough for the NSA/Gubberment to spy on me so I'm not worried about people spying on me, even for advertising dollars!  I just really like the One, despite what the netizens say.

I've enjoyed my PS3 as well for various games too.  Maybe if I found it for $300 or something, I'd invest in it as well.  I am interested to see if the PS4 can translate into better quality games because of it's GDDR RAM system.  I have my doubts about advanced processing versus the shiny effect.

I just want to see them in the wild, and I want to see them mature a bit before I jump on either one.

I'm team Xbox all the way. I won't be getting one for a few years though. I've got a pretty deep backlog of game I own but haven't finished and there's a pretty deep catalog of games I'd like to own but haven't picked up yet.

Likewise, I am probably upgrading to PS4, but not for a while. The PS3 is just still too damned relevant. I've got a dozen more games to play through, GTA V and Battlefield 4 are both current gen. I'm streaming Netflix every night on my PS3, when I'm not watching Blu Rays. And I honestly don't see any PS4 games on the horizon that make me want to jump for a $400 system.

Now I'm starting to wonder it both companies fugged up with releasing these systems now. Because so far, in this thread, 100% of the people say they aren't planning to buy this for the next 6 months to year. Because really, what's the point? Is there any material difference between the current gen, and these opening day new systems? I wouldn't be surprised if their sales figures are really weak, at least in the first year.

Because invariable, a year or so after the release, they'll come out with a PS4 slim with more memory, and fixes for all the bugs that came out in the v1.0 consoles. That will be the time to buy.

    • Super raw, not sure he is worth a top 10 pick.  Primary a pass rusher.  A bit like Burns, very fast athletic but doesnt always follow the play.  His highlights look good but when you watch him play you can see he is just raw and needs to develop
    • Personally, I am not sold on Bryce yet--and I do not think anyone is saying they are, but I don't think Ward is on table when we draft anyway.  Not even sure if I would rather have him than one of the later QBs.  I see a lot of potential in Allar, Nussmeire, Rourke, and even Hamilton from Ohio State--Milroe is intriguing, but I am not sure he is an NFL QB.  Ewers is that sleeper who falls and becomes a solid starter. I think that we sign a veteran who has played and we draft one of these project QBs. To your point:  With that in mind, I think you have to take QB off the table in round 1, and if Bryce can string 4-5 games like KC together, we still need to draft a QB in round three or so---I really think Rourke is a great fit for this offense--he is accurate and gets the ball out quickly---he impressed me vs OSU.   Reason?  I think we may have a tough decision to make about Bryce in 2 years--will he be worth $60m?  That decision is a lot easier if you have been grooming a backup for 2 years who can play. In round 1: I am hoping for PSU's edge Abdul Carter In round 2:  I would like to see us grab a DT who can rush the passer.  Walter Nolen of Ole Miss is versatile and a bit raw. I think he could be an excellent complement to Brown. In round 3:  I would love ILB Danny Stutsman from Oklahoma.  He is a beast. With 11 picks, I would package our 4th rounders to move up into the third round and take a QB.  At the moment, I think Rourke is trending upward and he has the skills Canales seems to want in a QB.  Quick processor, quick release. I would use the fifth rounders on OL.  I know that I left out WR--however, we are getting Thielen back, XL will be improved, Coker will be improved, and Moore has been surprisingly good.  Sanders (TE) has been more than expected in the passing game.  I think we need D more than WR, and maybe we can get a veteran WR to sign or find a hidden gem late.
    • Wouldn't be surprised if he starts a couple Jets games this year with the way the Rodgers thing is going. Giants fans are pissed they didn't keep him lol. He might actually have a little bit of a market.
