The song Sweet Caroline

That is a possibility...you might even start hearing boom boom boom boom after we score.

That touchdown song is the worst thing in the world, I can't believe it's never changed.  Isn't that Stevie Ray Vaughan?

The Panthers' in-game music is awful, un imaginative, and boring. It's very shocking it has never changed.

And back to OP...Sweet Caroline has been played for as long as I can remember.

It's not as bad as all the dumb bullshit they do that not only doesn't add to the atmosphere it takes away from it. Stupid 40 yard kid race, triple a card thing, dumb trivia questions. Use that time to get the crowd jacked. They are always always while we are on defense it seems. Then they giveaway those damn T-shirts while we are on offense and people start losing their damn minds lol

it has changed but there is still room to improve.  The pregame music seemed louder than normal last game.  First time I noticed the extra speakers in the Panthers endzone.  I like it.

For one, I will gladly take Sweet Caroline over 'Nothing can be finer than to be in Carolina ...'.  That song makes my skin crawl.

That would be Big Head Todd's version of an old John Lee Hooker song... I personally I love it. It's now tradition. When I heard that song, it instills the same feeling of us getting a TD EVERY SINGLE TIME!

    • OK, so this is a bit weird.  When I coached at Salisbury High School when I first started teaching, I used to go over to Catawba College to watch film and talk football with their coaches.  They were great. Curtis, Jalon's father, I assume, was a LB at Catawba and hired as LB coach by Bennett When Coastal started their program, they hired Catawba's coach Bennett.  Bennett must have taken Jalen's father with him to Coastal. I am guessing that is about the time Jalon was born and why he was in Conway. So then his father comes back to Salisbury after Jalen is born and takes the head coaching job. Jalen is a good interview.  I love the kid based on this, and I have heard good things from former colleagues of FB.  Salibury (when I was there) was a very rough school.  Gangs, drugs, etc.  To put it in perspective, I was there for 2.5 years and I had four (4) students in my class (at different times) who committed murder during that time. A girl was raped in the gym by a few boys.  One night, after a game (there is a road between the coaches offices in the gym and the rest of the school) the coaches watched film until 1 AM or so.  When we were leaving to walk to our cars parked across that street, we noticed a car sitting in the middle of the road about 100 yards away with its lights off.  The driver took off when we neared the street, so we all hit the ground.  As the car passed, we heard about 6 or 7 gunshots.  The next day, the van behind where we fell to the ground had 2 bullet holes in it, about 5 feet above the ground.  All that to say this:  If the young man on the video endured anything like that, I want him to succeed and I found it interesting that he mentioned playing for the Panthers.  I am not sold on the player as a fit here based on our needs, but I am sold on the person.  Very proud of him for some reason that many may not understand.
    • First off, he's not even eligible for a contract yet.  You have to play three years. And thank goodness! All we saw last year were glimpses.  Yes, those glimpses were enough that I think every fan wants to see him come back next year.  But bottom line is that so far, with only a couple games worth of exceptions, he hasn't yet shown that he's a FRANCHISE QB.  He hasn't shown the consistent ability to elevate the players around him. He could be the guy.  After week two of this year, just saying that much is a massive, massive positive swing.  But let's see him put it together for 17 games.  Let's see him make the people around him BETTER.  Then we can talk about extending him. Let's not lose sight of the fact that thus far in his career, in no season has BY exceeded the rookie stats of MAC JONES. We should  be excited for the possibility, but we certainly haven't seen yet what we need to see to declare we have our guy.
    • People cared as it was happening, but after a year or two, most people had moved on. There was no public outcry to bring the NBA back to Charlotte, it just happened.
