I'm hoping "IF" we make the Super Bowl this season or next. We sign Jake to a two week contract, just so he can get the ring he rightfully deserves.

 

I have a special spot in my study closet for all the Panther "HOFer"s jerseys... Jake's has been in the front since he left the team.

He would have to take a roster spot from someone who actually deserves it this year...

This.   As much as Jake deserved a ring.   I don't think he would want to sign on a team just so he could maybe get a ring on a team he didn't play a part on.   I know i wouldn't..

If Jake wants a SB ring, he can earn it as a position coach.  An honorary ring just doesn't have the same personal value as one that is earned.

If you can sit at your computer a seriously type that Fua deserves a ring more than Jake Delhomme then you need to unplug it, take your monitor, and smash it on your man-hood.

 

Jake being at that game Sunday and just talking to the team is more deserving than anything Fua has done in his lifetime. Just go back and watch Cam's presser after the game. He even says when Jake talks, he stops and listens. There are maybe 10 guys in the WHOLE ORGANIZATION that get more respect from this team than Jake... And 10 might be pushing it.

 

Yes, signing on just to get a honorary ring isn't the same. But he deserves a damn ring from this team. He was robbed 10 years ago by a crappy kickoff. 

 

Hell, sign him to be the placeholder for field goals. I'm pretty certain he can still do that. Maybe even go for the fake and have him pass to Smitty to win the game. Just having him in a uniform and on that sideline would light an extra fire in this team. Don't believe me? Ask anyone on the roster.

I can easily sit here and argue that Fua would deserve a ring more than Jake THIS year because, you know, he has actually played and contributed in actual games and practices leading up to said Super bowl. 

 

But this argument is pointless and stupid, no matter how baseless and wrong I think your side is.
