what 49er fans are saying

If you go to 49er webzone then you know there are no rational fans and way too many emoticons. I think we are worried about this game but anytime the record of our opponents is brought up it undermines your argument. You have to include point totals as well. 31-15, 38-0( woulda been 41 had Rivera felt like it) 31-13( garbage TD with 1 min) 34-10( no points in second half). We have not just won those games but dominated them. If we were a mediocre team those games would be closer.

If Dwill doesn't fumble on the 8 against the Hawks, assuming we score, we may have won that game. Last play miscommunication( and in my opinion crap DPI on Kuechly) lost the game at buffalo. We are literally 4 minutes and 2 seconds of game time from being 7-1.

But that's why you play the game. PS, Kaep, while I respect him, is one of the most awkward football players I've ever seen.

Great game, I have no prediction. We have a collective 13 points against the other top west teams, I hope to see a better output.

I really works both ways.

Niners in same boat. They've beaten their last 5 opponents by an average of 22 points and scored over 30 in 5 straight games for the first time since Young was the QB. They aren't just beating bad teams...they are beating them into oblivion...particularly before they go into their late game prevent D.

Basically...I hear you. That's why you will hear nothing about the quality of the opponent from me.

Awkward? uh...OK. If you say so. He reminds me of Randall Cunningham more than any other player I've seen. Cam is bigger than both Kap and Randall. I think Kap has more straight line speed than Cam does and a bigger arm, but Cam has much more size and is quicker on his feat. Cam is more able to elude a defender laterally than Kap is.

Seattle had two 80 yards TD drives.

You guys had only one good drive the whole game

OMG. You are right. The hawks dominated the game on O from start to finish. How could I have ever been so foolish.

I apologize to all you Panthers fans out there...was responding to a Panthers fan about the Seattle game before this 'hawk fan came in to hijack.

No more 'hawk talk from me. This is your forum and I respect that.

On to the game this sunday.

Cough, cough Steelers?

Cough, cough Falcons?

Cough, cough Bears?

Cough Cough every Seattle season?

You guys are paper champs. You've never won sh*t. Keep talkin. As I recall, you guys went home early last year. And you guys still have to play at our place. The way your line is playing, you'll be lucky if Tavaris f*****g Jackson isn't your QB by the time you have to come to the stick.

Steelers? Wow, it took me a few seconds to get that. I know you're a 49er fan, and as such, you tend to harp on the past.

Win a superbowl this millennium, and then get back to me. Until then, you lost one superbowl, and we lost one superbowl.

Btw, I'd take Tavaris Jackson over Kaeperclit any day.

Hey, blowing out bad teams is a sign of a very good team. Winning close games against **** teams is the sign of a fraud, so I agree with you.

And yes, Kaepernick is awkward as hell. He looks like he's 12 feet tall when he runs. Like his legs and arms are so long that he can be tackled by anyone. But the dude can play. He's got to improve, but he's a player.

Thanks man. I've given the Panthers the respect they deserve, I'm just surprised so many are doing everything they can to not respect the 49ers. I'd expect a couple trolls here and there, but even Moderators or guys who say they watched every game we played are still not giving us credit. We were one play away from being Superbowl champs and have teh 2nd best record in the conference, and you guys are coming to our place.

I'm just surprised the Panthers fans aren't worried about this game like the rational 49ers fans are.

The Niners are a good team.  Everyone (well most people) here knows it.

But us Panthers fans are fighting for the same type of respect for our team that you guys have already earned the last two seasons.

When I watch these two teams, I don't see a big difference.  I think we are every bit as good as you guys.  Your offense is as capable of laying an egg as ours is.  Both defenses are top shelf

This game Sunday could go anyway.  We could get blown out, we could blow you guys out, or it could be a close game.  It is going to come down to who takes care of the ball.

My gut (and analysis) feels like this will be a low possession, low scoring game.  And mistakes are going to be magnified.

I think these are two really good teams, and in order for you guys to beat us, or in order for us to beat you, our teams are going to have to play clean games.  Penalties, drops, and turnovers for either team will be the difference between winning or getting crushed.

We aren't taking you guys lightly or think you guys aren't good, you are, but we do feel that you guys aren't better than us and if we play our game and take care of the ball we will win.  And I am sure you guys feel the same way.

Agreed on first part....

...but I guess i just don't see him as awkward. No worries.

You brought up the past douchebag, with your cough, cough remark.

And that's sad, you forgot about your only moment of glory, a loss in the Superbowl.

And yeah, we lost won, but we won 5 others. So suck on that long and hard before you bring the past up Archie.

I can see how you get there.

These teams are far more similar than they are different. They are built the same way and seek to beat you in the same manner.

I think the biggest differences are on the O-Line, the Secondary (which seems odd to say, but Reid is BETTER than Goldson), and Coaching. That last one has more to do with my respect for the SF coaching staff than any lack of respect for the panthers staff.

I think the Niners will win. I would not be at all suprised tho if the Panthers win. You guys are on the upswing in a big way.

Just leave it alone bro. Its a Panthers forum. No reason to be arguing with a 'hawks fan here. I did it myself..no judgement...just pointless.

Actually, I brought up the RECENT past, as it applies to your CURRENT team, in this CURRENT era of the NFL.

Nobody outside the bay area gives a rat's a$$ about Lombardi trophies you hoisted before the days of dial-up Internet.

Yeah, I'm guilty of it too. :)

But hey, I like actually being able to argue with you guys w/out having your mods ban me for simply pointing out facts. :)
