what 49er fans are saying

BS.

Please.

For the lions share of that game BOTH defenses were dominating. It wasn't until the end that the 49ers defense back was broken mostly because Kaepernick started throwing the ball to blue jerseys.

Seattle deserved the win, no question, but it was not nearly the thumping that 'Hawk fans would like you to believe it was. Most 'Hawk fans with a clue concede that fact.

The only thing you have correct is that it was a defensive game. In the end, our defense beat the snot out of your offense more so than your defense did ours. Ergo, 29-3.

It wasn't as much of a thumping as 42-13, but it was still a thumping.

I like all you 49ers fans being here.  Helps build up the excitement for the game!

You guys have actually been better than most.  Rams fans were the worst we have had by far.

Atlanta fans were pretty bad to, but they started talking smack to soon and Arizona crushed their souls a week before we played so they didn't return for the build up.

It is just fun talking some poo before the game on Sunday

Yeah it is.

I'm having fun here because it's a better forum frankly, and it's always nice to hear new perspectives on things. We (49ers fans) are rational for the most part. We had to endure Mike Singletary and Jimmy Raye, so we know what underacheiving feels like.

?

Uh...that was kinda my entire point.

The offense didn't play well and Seattle deserves credit for that. My point is that it wasn't like the D got dominated.

Lol - shouldn't you be licking your wounds from that 0-8 team that took you to OT in the vaunted Clink? You guys are rregressing and you're not gonna get lucky in 4 games with the second half of the schedule. Can't wait for you Frappachino drinking douchebags to come to the stick. We're getting healthy at the right time.

No wounds to lick my friend, as last I checked, that game was a W. "Vaunted Clink"? You think so only because the media hypes it up to be. Where was all that hype when we were dropping games at the Clink back in 2008-2011? Every team plays better at home. You only started noticing because the Seahawks started winning.

Football is a game of inches and frequently, luck. A couple of bounces here and there mean the difference between winning a losing. You should know all about that (*cough* Giants). "Regressing" is seen only from a fan's point of view. Look beyond final scores, and there's a reason for everything.

So Tampa had one good quarter and scored 21 points. Last I checked, one quarter doesn't define an entire game. Towards the end of the 1st half, it was called "back to reality", and 27-3 run to close the game.

See, the difference is, when the Seahawks play like $hit, they mount come-from-behind victories (or close - @Indy). When the 49ers play like $hit, they get blown the F**! out, and often at home (Giants in 2012, Indy in 2013).

Lastly, our game is 5 weeks away. A lot can change in 5 weeks. Look at your own team. 5 weeks ago, you were 1-2, coming off back-to-back blowout losses and half of you whiners on 49erswebzone were about to jump off the Golden Gate bridge. Now you win 5 in a row and all of a sudden you're world beaters again. Funny how that works.

...and if not for the offense turning the ball over close to the goalline late in the game, they would have scored something close to that vs SF.

Oh, we get to play ifs now?

Well, if we didn't have 4 crucial drops and a fumble we would have beat Seattle by 2 TDs.

BTW, it is now a fact that the Panthers all black uniforms are the greatest NFL uniforms of all time after crushing the Niners' stupid looking get up in the final round on NFL.com.

I expect the final score on Sunday to be similar to the final vote tally here

;)

Rigged.

:)

I don't really care. I know which uniform I like better and thats all I really care about.

Never said it did. But your O did. Ergo, thumping. Ergo, 29-3.

Sigh.

Jeez. ALL I'M TRYING TO SAY IS THAT THE SEATTLE O DID NOT DOMINATE THE SF D. Thats it. Thats all.

The score was not indicative of the way the defense played. The same can be said of the following week against the Colts.

The O struggled badly in both of those games and is a much larger factor in the final score than the D.

If THAT's your point, then I agree with you.

Niners WRs simply couldn't get open to save their lives. Seattle was able to devote extra men to the run and man-up all of the Niner receivers. This is why return of Manningham and Crabtree looms so large.

Cough, cough Steelers?

Cough, cough Falcons?

Cough, cough Bears?

Cough Cough every Seattle season?

You guys are paper champs. You've never won sh*t. Keep talkin. As I recall, you guys went home early last year. And you guys still have to play at our place. The way your line is playing, you'll be lucky if Tavaris f*****g Jackson isn't your QB by the time you have to come to the stick.

Thanks man. I've given the Panthers the respect they deserve, I'm just surprised so many are doing everything they can to not respect the 49ers. I'd expect a couple trolls here and there, but even Moderators or guys who say they watched every game we played are still not giving us credit. We were one play away from being Superbowl champs and have teh 2nd best record in the conference, and you guys are coming to our place.

I'm just surprised the Panthers fans aren't worried about this game like the rational 49ers fans are.

If you go to 49er webzone then you know there are no rational fans and way too many emoticons. I think we are worried about this game but anytime the record of our opponents is brought up it undermines your argument. You have to include point totals as well. 31-15, 38-0( woulda been 41 had Rivera felt like it) 31-13( garbage TD with 1 min) 34-10( no points in second half). We have not just won those games but dominated them. If we were a mediocre team those games would be closer.

If Dwill doesn't fumble on the 8 against the Hawks, assuming we score, we may have won that game. Last play miscommunication( and in my opinion crap DPI on Kuechly) lost the game at buffalo. We are literally 4 minutes and 2 seconds of game time from being 7-1.

But that's why you play the game. PS, Kaep, while I respect him, is one of the most awkward football players I've ever seen.

Great game, I have no prediction. We have a collective 13 points against the other top west teams, I hope to see a better output.

Seattle had two 80 yards TD drives.

You guys had only one good drive the whole game

    • I don't know about you but I have been a life long Chiefs fan for the past 4 years.
    • Sure there's a ton of transplants in Colorado now. But as far as Denver in particular goes the Broncos have also been around for 65 years. Someone moving to Denver is going to be far more likely to become a fan of the Broncos and even attend games versus someone moving to Charlotte and the Panthers. Like I said it's not just one single thing with us it's multiple factors.
    • He's definitely getting better. It's fun to watch.  I've been getting killed for this take, but with the current state of college football, it just takes more time to develop a quarterback. I don't think it's a plug and play position anymore. I'm really not sure if it ever was. NFL offenses have always been substantially more complex than the college game, and the college game has simplified even more in recent years. Many college teams do not have a physical playbook anymore. That's just not the national football league.  Are there freaks who have success from day 1? Yes, without question. But so many of those guys are runners, and so many of those guys tail off. Is Bryce ever going to be Josh Allen? Probably not.  What I am seeing is a guy with complete command of the offense. He's checking into things at the line, making adjustments, and making timely throws.  He goes to David Moore a ton, because Moore is a consistent route runner. Bryce knows where he is and when he should be open. I think the guy with the "super processor" needs to be comfortable in the offense in order to do the "super processing." He doesn't have elite arm talent, and he is small of stature, but if he makes the smart play consistently, and he's willing to throw the ball downfield and not make mistakes, like he's starting to show, he's going to be a starter for a long time in this league, and it's not a position I'd spend draft capital right now.
