Cam's Ability to Extend Plays

Recommended Posts

How jaw-dropping was that scramble by Cam in the first half when the pocket collapsed and he evaded multiple tackles and defenders to get out of the pocket and find 89 down the field for the first down? He pulled a quick juke is such a tight space and somehow emerged from the pile. Anyone have a gif of that particular play? One of his more insane plays from this season.

Cam is a big QB. Most QBs of his size don't move with such fluidity.  All I could think of when I saw that highlight, was the spectacular play Russel Wilson made when he was being dragged down by a defendent but managed to throw the ball to his receiver sideways before hitting the ground.

Moves like what Cam and Russell did are not scripted. Those are simply young men using their natural gifts to get out of bad situations.

This is one of those things where I say, "Yeah, you are right that sometimes he holds the ball too long and gets sacked, but sometimes he keeps a play alive and makes an amazing play that extends the drive"

It is sort of like living with the Barry Sanders constant negative yardage back in the day (he holds the NFL record for carries for negative yardage), because you know eventually he is going to make an explosive play.

With guys like that, sometimes you have to take the bad with the good, or exceptional.

I say that watching him have one of his worst games in the past weeks

Think Cam had a tough day?

With 0:30 left in the first half, Luck is 3 of 11 for 56 yards against Houston.

Welcome to Cam's world of not having receivers worth a poo, Andrew.

What happened? It looked like Smitty caught it. Is this the infamous Int that folks is saying is Cam's fault?

No this was all on cam it was an under thrown deep ball off his back foot to ginn in double coverage. I think that was one or two plays after that gif but the next drive after the pick we scored a TD so its all good.
