Some coaches and organizations don't allow it in any form, even 'good natured' hazing.

The Panthers always have, and I have no issue with that.

The stuff Incognito did though? Well beyond simple hazing.

Exactly. IIRC, Tony Dungy said he's never allowed it.

I just found it funny because so many are insisting that hazing in general "Just happens in football."

Also, I can't help but wonder how many of the people saying Martin is "soft/ not a team player/  yaddayadda" because he didn't just stand up  & say "no, I'm not doing this bullpoo"... were saying Dez Bryant was "soft/ not a team player/ yaddayadda" because he DID stand up & say "no I'm not doing this bullpoo".

Overblown IMO, It's turn in a poo storm by the media......release incognito's ass, give martin a public apology and release the man if he requested it. At this point as a owner you have to do what's best for your franchise and Fans. The very, very, very slim chance incognito was joking well that's too fugging bad can't carry yourself like that and expect not to be called out eventually he needs to do some serious soul searching and consulting to salvage any chance of playing football every again but at his age might be too late who knows.

About as much of a 'lasting impression' as a six year old throwing a temper tantrum in public. I have found your attempts at trying to come up with an effective insult mildly amusing (though repetitive, and thus becoming rather boring).

See, I grew up with a values system that places real world stuff higher in importance than football. Hence, why I'd be offended in an adult manner at something like what happened to Jonathan Martin rather than throwing a fit worthy of an angry toddler over something that happened in a team practice.

I realize concepts like judgment, wisdom, priorities and other 'grown-up' stuff may be over your head, but those are the kinds of things that guide those of us who are well over the age of twelve. But here's hoping someday you'll get it.

Lol Your thinly veiled attempts at passive aggressive insults come off more childish than any poster who has ever had the metaphorical balls to speak directly. Nobody thinks your some impartial beacon of honest knowledge. They all just think you're some self righteous prick too timid to avoid confrontation, as you've clearly demonstrated yet again. Oh, and don't forget to add more emoticons next time, maybe then I'll really get it!

Oh the irony

Congrats on having metaphorical balls (and brains, and wisdom, and judgment, and priorities, and etc.).

In short, grow up, kid.

Lol an "age" joke while simultaneously trying to maintain your so desperately craved "superiority" in combination with additional rambling about irony. Oh no Mr. Scot, you've sunk yourself down to "our" level! What are you going to do among us lowlifes?!

http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-Sports/2013/11/08/Report-Incognito-Held-O-Line-Meetings-at-Strip-Clubs-Fined-Members-for-Not-Appearing

According to two sources, suspended Dolphins guard Richie Incognito regularly held meetings for the team’s offensive linemen at a South Florida strip club, demanding that other linemen attend at the location. Incognito went so far as to “fine” teammates in an erstwhile kangaroo court if they did not show up.

“Richie wanted to set up Richie’s world as a way for everybody to act,” a team source said. “Richie thinks everybody should act that way. He doesn’t get that some guys aren’t into that behav-ior. Some guys don’t want to constantly explain to their wife or girlfriend why they have to go to a strip club.”

If players didn’t go, Incognito would mock them for not being part of the group, one of the sources said.

Some people are just dicks and maybe they don't know when to stop.  I never understood how anyone could blame the victim and call him names because he can't take it when you have no idea what "it" is.

They are the same people who would stand behind the bully in school and laugh because kissing ass was their way of not being the next victim.

So true.

Many of those "some people" are simply cowards themselves.

Per PFT, looking like the Dolphins may be prepping to kick Incognito to the curb. Speculation that GM Jeff Ireland may go with him.

Ross comments sound like bad news for Incognito, Ireland

Can't say I'm sad.

Yeah this is the thing. These are football teams but they are also businesses with executives and shareholders. If I recall, the Dolphins are partially owned by the likes of Jimmy Buffet and such. Or whoever but there are many interested parties. Ross in the majority owner.

The owner is the owner but he is going to have to make an example. Any company I have worked for would do the same.

Good for Rossfor stepping up and handling things. He is a businessman as are all the owners and you take care of the crap when it hits the media. You will notice that right or wrong, Philbin has done the coach speak and managed the situation which is exactly what the people who have a monetary stake in the company want.
