Incognito is a dirtbag but the people who are trying to turn into some massive team "scandal" are ridiculous. I'm tired of hearing about this story, primarily because I'm tired of the media sucking every thing they can out of it and trying to blow each and every rumor or anonymous source's "leak" up.

I'm sure people will panic because I am not in a state of near mental collapse that this was happening, but I prefer my news sources to report the news, not create it.

Thank you. My thoughts exactly. If i was to be outraged as much as everyone is pretending to be about this I would have to cry myself to death about all the really fuged up stuff in the world.

Mass incarceration has turned segments of Black America so upside down that a tatted-up, N-word-tossing white goon is more respected and accepted than a soft-spoken, highly intelligent black Stanford graduate.

According to a story in the Miami Herald, black Dolphins players granted Richie Incognito "honorary" status as a black man while feeling little connection to Jonathan Martin.

Welcome to Incarceration Nation, where the mindset of the Miami Dolphins' locker room mirrors the mentality of a maximum-security prison yard and where a wide swath of America believes the nonviolent intellectual needs to adopt the tactics of the barbarian.

I don't blame Jonathan Martin for walking away from the Dolphins and checking himself into a hospital seeking treatment for emotional distress. The cesspool of insanity that apparently is the Miami locker room would test the mental stability of any sane man. Martin, the offspring of Harvard grads, a 24-year-old trained at some of America's finest academic institutions, is a first-time offender callously thrown into an Attica prison cell with Incognito and Aaron Hernandez's BFF Mike Pouncey. Dolphins warden Jeff Ireland and deputy warden Joe Philbin put zero sophisticated thought into what they were doing when they drafted Martin in the second round in 2012.

Well, obviously a guy being bullied, forced to pay for stuff, having his family threatened and his livelihood endangered by a violent racist psycho (who had the team's blessing to do so) certainly doesn't merit the level of righteous personal outrage due when a defensive lineman takes practice snaps on the offensive line.

I mean hey, priorities, right?

The idea that Martin is soft is absurd.  The media should be reporting stories like this.  And it should be put in the public consciousness.  This story transcends just football.

And I was a guy that lived with a football team for a year at a prep school, played sports my whole life, and have a understanding of locker room culture.  The idea that this is "typical locker room culture" is bullshit. There is a fine line between teasing, joking, and hazing and being an incredible asshole that is a bully.  there is nothing funny, about calling someone a "half N----" or saying "I will slap you mother".  OMG fugging hilarious.  You guys are soooooo funny.  Bullshit.

To the people who say "he needs to be a man"  Fug you!  That is about the dumbest thing I have ever heard, and those pussies who say that on TV, 90% of them wouldn't do poo either.  Everyone thinks they are a badass until they actually have to be a badass ad then they are just as much a pussy as everyone else.  If they weren't all wearing pads half the "fights" in the NFL would be like 95% of baseball fights everyone runs out on the field and then just stands around laughing and talking for five minutes while a fat 60 year old umpire magically is capable of keeping a roided up 250 pound baseball player from getting out of his grasp while he yells "you lucky he holding me back!1!11"

But if you feel the entire team, coaches, and organization are teaming up on you, what exactly does a person do?  Fight everyone?  Fight every player, coach, GM and owner that did nothing to protect him?

Philbin (sp?), their GM, and Incognito all need to be fired yesterday.  Every one of them are to blame. We'll see how serious the Dolphin's organization is about protecting their players by who still has jobs after this.  My guess is they are more interested in their slim playoff chances than doing the right thing.

The one person who doesn't deserve blame?  Martin.

Oh. yeah, and I hope we beat the Dolphins 1,236,589,503,282,163,849-0

And as Steve Smith who is a 5'9 WR is talking poo to all those tough guys, I can't wait to see them just hang their head, quietly walk off the field, and just take it like the pussies that they really are

And fights happen.  They are unfortunate, and of course should not be condoned.  But there is a difference between a fight at practice, and systematic bullying, psychological abuse, and harassment over the course of two years.

If I recall, Steve Smith was extremely remorseful about what happened with Lucas, was suspended by the Panthers for two games, and actually Smith and Lucas developed a friendship after that happened.

Lucas said in 2009 "Me and Steve have a friendship off the field that wasn't there before and I am thankful for that,"

And based on the comment that Smith was a bully, that leads me to believe that if Martin knocked Incognito the fug out, he would have been considered the bully.  All the more reason for him not to retaliate physically.

Hopefully you guys can see the difference.
