The Dolphins' clubhouse, meanwhile, seemed to be standing behind Incognito, according to Dan Le Batard, a Miami Herald columnist and ESPN radio and TV host.

"They've been supporting Incognito and it's troubling and it speaks to the culture of football because the other guy is viewed as a quitter. The other guy, Jonathan Martin, is viewed as weak," Le Batard said on ESPN radio on Tuesday.

"Right now if I put in the Dolphins locker room a poll and said, 'who would you welcome back, the guy who's being perceived as a racist bully, or the guy who is perceived as weak', almost to a man I think they'd take Incognito back."

I don't like the phrase, but in terms of on the field football, the Dolphins are going to get their's. (Of course I don't know if they will get it against the Bucs.  It is funny that after all this media attention the Dolphins are getting, that their first game since the Incognito suspension is a Monday night primetime game)

Turns out it was all a false alarm, folks.

Former teammate Karlos Dansby told the Arizona Republic that Incognito is just "down to earth" (quoted in PFT)

I mean hey, I'm sure we can all see how 'down to earth' could easily be mistaken for being a violent, racist, psycho POS.

I don't know the details of how much Dansby knew or how close he was to Incognito.

But Incognito wouldn't be the first guy to present a different face to different people.

Just because SOME people think Incognito was OK doesn't mean (1) that they are weird, (2) they are as guilty as Incognito, or (3) Incognito is merely a gentle lamb.

BTW, Dansby used to play at Auburn.  Seemed like a quality enough guy from a personal standpoint, but a rocket scientist he was NOT.

I even said in my one post that removing himself wasn't wrong either. I mean that's fine. I don't know, I just always assumed once you get older, you stop dealing these things. Like I'm a grown man, I don't have time to waste on these childish things.

Like someone known to have exhibited violence before threatening your family?

That kind of childish thing?

that video is everything i hate about people in america.

psycho meathead with his shirt off in a bar screaming nonsensically pumping out his chest....look at me, look at me.

while pouncey is standing there laughing. get martin the fug out of there.

TMZ needs to stop. I didn't hear any darn "N" word. Folks need to stop instigating this ish.

This kid has some serious issues. If he's not an equal opportunity verbal abuser, then I say he's a racist...point blank. I don't care how much those on NFLN try to sugar coat this and make it seem like some schoolyard fight that got out of hand.

Never said Dansby was guilty, but I do think the defense of Incognito is dumb.  Even one of Dansby's own teammates knocked Incognito (defensive lineman, no chock).

I'll grant that Incognito could show different faces to different people.

I spent ten years of my life in a locker room. I know the difference between hazing and abuse.

Hazing doesn't involve racial slurs, leaving voice mail threats to slap someone's mother or talking about someone attempting suicide.

Lots of NFL guys who endured good natured rookie hazing will tell you it helped them bond with teammates. None of what you see in this situation involves 'bonding'.

And it's not like this is new for Incognito. His history is such that when he leaves a place, it usually isn't voluntary.

He's not 'misunderstood'. He's an ignorant, psycho POS. If he never plays another down in the NFL, I won't shed a tear for him.

The media is trying to water this down to nothing more than a "hazing" or "locker-room antics" gone wrong just so they don't have to deal with the racial aspect of this.

Plus it was the folks on ESPN and NFLN, when the story first broke, who automatically gave that psycho the benefit of the doubt. Now, instead of treating it as it really is, a deranged kid with some serious anger issues, they are trying to act like it's both the guys fault. Don't be surprised if by next week ESPN/NFLN has paint the entire story as Martin's fault for "not speaking up sooner."

Yeah, They act like bullying is wrong, yet they sit and second guess the actions of a young man who was/is a victim of it. HYPOCRITES!

I'm...not really sure who you're arguing with

Why would you assume I'm "arguing" when I'm in agreement with you. Yes, I do agree with you sometimes, even if you may not see it that way.

No, I know it isn't me.

I'm just not seeing a whole lot of people lining up to support Incognito, so I'm not sure who you're talking about.
