It was Lukes fault. The safeties were covering the sidelines and Luke has the high in case they ran a high-low(which is what they did) and Luke stepped up for the low as Tony ran behind him. If he stays put that was another interception but he did jump on the low route. Good play call by the Falcons because it worked because if Kuechly stays or backs up one step instead of going 2 steps forward he intercepts that pass.

I want to see a gif of Gonzales flopping in the end zone when Luke was covering him. They showed it during the game about ten times and talked about how Luke got away with one. Gonzales flailed around and when Ryan threw the ball he flopped like a gaffed fish. Refs took notice of it.

This times 100.

No he took the low route when he should've stayed because Thomas was covering the low route. Keek should've backed up and settled into zone. The safeties were covering the fades to the receivers while the linebackers covered the middle routes. Watch again and you'll see what I'm talking about. Keek could've had an int if he didn't jump on Douglas.

If you are saying it was Luke's job to cover Gonzo 30 yards down field then I am telling you that is a stupid ass assignment.

He is a MLB. not a safety.

There is not a MLB in the league that would win that matchup 1 on 1.

Exactly. The assignment was for Mikell, who went after the outside receiver for reasons known only to God (because he sure as hell wasn't going to do anything to a guy ten yards away from him.)

That TD wasn't thirty yards. If that's what your referring to here then I'm sorry but it wasn't close to thirty yards. If it isn't then I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.

Officially it was a 17 yard pass but it was well into the endzone. Probably 25 yards total.
